There is a whole discussion on this article trying to stop the misinformation you are giving. Just keep using what you have! You have a million type a bricks/cables use them! You have a bonus future type c cable throw it in a drawer and move on with your life.
LOL. It’s you that’s giving misinformation. The USB-C will not fit old USB-A bricks. Is that so hard to understand?

Your existing Lightning to USBA cables will continue to work with your old USBA bricks.

Then one day when you upgrade to a multi port charger with USBC, you can take that Lightning to USBC cable out of the drawer and use it.

I’m the opposite. I don’t even think twice about Apple not including chargers in the box (or headphones for that matter), as I’ve got so many around the house and office, I don’t need more. When I got my iPad Pro almost two years ago, with its 18w USB-C charger, realizing how fast it was, I started buying USB-C to Lightning cables and then additional PD-USB-C charger bricks, so I could have them for travel and office use for charging both my iPad and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

And now I‘ll buy one of the MagSafe charger pucks when the 12 Pro Max launches, but thankfully won’t need to buy additional charger bricks, since I’m stocked up on those.
send me one then! lol I wish they would have included one for first time USB-C users, but it is what it is at this point.

I recommend moving to wireless charging
you can recommend all you want, its doesn't erase the fact that this is a money grab plain and simple.

Sure, and how many USB-A to Lightning cables do you have lying around?

I get the argument that there are more USB-A chargers already in people's homes and thus a USB-A to Lightning cable would have resulted in a larger percentage of buyers having the right charging brick already. But on the other hand, there also could be more people that are happy to get a USB-C to Lightning cable (than those preferring to get a USB-A version) because they already have enough USB-A to Lightning cables but actually don't have enough (if any) USB-C to Lightning cables. Not least because they are on a path to where their USB-A charging ports are getting slowly replaced by USB-C charging ports (eg, when buying a new computer that has USB-C ports or buying devices that come with USB-C charging bricks).
Literally only 2- I always sell them with my phones new, so I've been using the same ones for years-and were talking about bricks, not cables.

Baseus 65W charger from Aliexpress with 2 usb-C and USB -A for 25$ will not break your budget
you're missing the point, they're forcing a change on us without even giving a USBC brick first so we have them going forward. I know its entitlement, but its also poor business. I dont have a way to charge the phone as is- that's the point.

I never thought i'd say this, but "Get that iPhone away from floppy disks"

While it's good to have the back magnetized, my first thoughts would be, "well, now i gottta add someting else to the list to keep my data away from"

when apple axed the headphone adapter, the world ended.... samsung mocked them. Guess who copied that. Give samsung 6 months tops and they'll follow suite.
You maybe correct but if they do I doubt they will be claiming it is for environmental reasons.

Actually they’re not forcing anything. You can still charge a new iPhone 12 using an old USB A to Lightning cable and even an old 5w brick. It won’t be fast but it will do the job. And maybe be a bit easier on the battery. If you’re a new iPhone owner and don’t have a computer with USB C, you would only need to get a cord.

I get that it’s not ideal for first time buyers, but then they’re also not missing anything from past experiences since they wouldn’t have past experiences. I’ve never gotten rid of any of my past iPhone charging bricks going back to the original iPhone, because trading in never requires it, so I’ve boxes with old 5w chargers, even after my four kids who had a way with “losing” theirs and I had to constantly dole them out.

India has the largest cattle inventory in the world. India is the 2nd largest beef exporter, 5th largest producer & the 7th largest consumer in the world. India has one of the world's largest and most brutal cattle industries. Apart from that, stray cows in India often starve to death. No happy hindu cows there.

Saw this segment today after just finishing The Morning Show yesterday night.
These anchors are definitely incredibly charismatic, makes me wonder if I had grown up with them on a daily basis.

All the chaos, obsession and power struggles that TMS portrayed hits even more home.

Existing? Where?

You've already said you had USBA bricks. As one of the few folks without an spare Lightning/USBA cable, you'd best pop on down to the neighborhood store for a Lighting to USBA cable if you have an iphone12 arriving soon.

This isn't a difficult or expensive problem to solve.
