I don't have much to say in this letter, not even sure if this is the right place to post. I've bought almost every model of iPhone from the iPhone 3 in 2008, and loved mostly every experience of it.. until now. It seems everything's going to hell with Apple. I'll be searching for a downgrade of a phone, but I will no longer support this company, even if it means a worse phone experience.

I am still in shock from the release of the iPhone 8, and X. I feel like someone I was in a trustworthy relationship over a long period of time stabbed me in the back and walked away. I guess It's my fault for letting myself get attached to a company.

iPhone X isn't perfect. It is flawed, and Apple, if you truly think it's appropriate to ask your community to "get used to" or adjust to the akward black bevel on your "borderless screen" that.. by the way blocks videos and makes the experience inconvenient for an outstanding price you're wrong.

and about the iPhone 8.. well it's nothing special compared to the iPhone 6s. They're basically the same, with some small upgrades. Not worth the price.

What are your guys opinions about apples recent decisions? Am I the only one?

Nice freaking rant champ.

However I am calling BS on your post.

Unless you post a photo of you with your new Android device, I'll go so far to say you will probably buy an iPhone X.

Anyone can post opinions within reason. But you created an account here so you can say how unhappy you are and want someone here to justify your decision? Well looking at Apple in general, I'm staying. Six years ago I switched on every level. I lived in the Microsoft/Windows world for many years, mainly due to work requirements. No, Apple is not perfect but imo it beats Microsoft in just about every way - security, customer support, product user friendliness, privacy. My Windows Mobile phone was cumbersome, every action took a myriad of steps. I've never had an Android phone but I'm very familiar with Google. Those people are so enamored of their creations while not caring much about the end user experience. When I've had an issue with Apple, an email to Tim Cook has resulted in an almost immediate call from someone at Apple and in my experience a resolution. Every time. I appreciate that but that's not loyalty. That's quid pro quo. In what way are you a loyal Apple customer? You invite them to your parties? Comfort them in the middle of the night? Stand up for them when someone bashes them? Or you pay money to get a product? Because the latter is not loyalty. It's business.

[doublepost=1509224460][/doublepost]Well there ya go...... X isn't out in OZ yet but.. will be having a look at it but, it's pretty dear in the money stakes.. may just stick to my 7 Plus for the moment.. anyone want to buy a Newton 🙂

I've used iPhone 6 plus for more then two years, but it was getting slow, so the only best available phone was Samsung S8, so i bought S8+, i liked it but was still missing iOS, so i finally again bought iPhone 8+ (avoided iPhone X as i already have S8+ with similar screen and look)

But still Apple is now going backward, really expected some thing much more innovative

I've still not given up on Apple, still using using Mac, iPad as well as iPhone 8+ along with Galaxy S8+ (secondary phone), but if Apple does not gets back on track to provide something innovative I'm sure many users are going to ditch Apple just like the OP
Just out of curiosity, why is Apple going backward? What kind of innovation would you have liked to have seen in the new iPhone? I weighed the Android options against the iPhone X before preordering, and I'm still confident the iPhone X is the most compelling choice on the market today for someone buying a new smartphone. I think the Sony Xperia XZ Premium comes close, but iOS still has better features.
