Just a point I want to pick up on:
I know you people are very enthusiastic and dying to get on Google Plus, but would you allow at least 12 hours between requesting an invite via PM, before asking another (different) member to add you - I don't want to add someone who's already been added, which wastes an invitation!
Patience is a virtue - somehow, one of us will invite you, but please don't flood us with incessant and/or multiple requests - we're only human, and doing this as a kindness.

I like how G+ is a lot cleaner and immediately transparent than Facebook. I like spending time on it, but the problem is that hardly anyone I know IRL is on it, thus lowering the value it provides to me. Right now, it's basically just something I go to when I want to see what's new and what the hot stories are that are being talked about in tech.

Anyone know how long it takes to receive the invitation once someone invites you? I'm presuming it comes via email to the address you give for the invite.

Yeah it comes to the email address used for the invite, pretty much the speed of email.
Edit: I just sent another one in case the first one got lost in the mail.

Alaerian is correct. I had misunderstood an earlier post to imply that the OP was no longer working, but I can confirm that is still does in fact work like a charm.
