Yes! Finally - now if we can get a hack to make it default.

And to the naysayers - shame on you.

You're an embarrassment to the apple community.

Are all the other people unable to download it in the UK?

And to the person above, its still showing up in the App store, just won't let us download it.

To be honest even if it is slower I just like the integration aspect it has with all of my browsers tabs, bookmarks, etc...

very nicely done

Anyway to have your bookmarks visible underneath the URL bar on the iPad just like the desktop version?

I'm OUT!!!

I would never use anything from Google. Their only purpose of existence is to collect my data to sell to their customers. I'm Good!

After playing with it for a couple of minutes, nothing too spectacular. It's not as fast as Safari for the known reasons, but it does look nice. Unified address bar is great and the additional row of keys when typing in urls is nice too. I'm going to test it some more to see if it'll become my go to browser.

Oh grow up. If you dont like Google, dont post in the Google threads...hardly rocket science.

Besides, that wouldn't have happened if Apple patched the bug they knew about long ago ;)

If I remember correctly this is MAC RUMORS right?! :roll eyes:
I can't believe how willing people are to share every personal detail with a company that only makes money from selling your detail. They spend millions to give things away so that suckers who want something for nothing will gladly sell their souls to them.

apple, or any other corporation doesn't already do this? Facebook, credit card companies, mortgage companies, etc..the list goes on and on and on

Love this so far, definitely going to be using this instead of safari. Only wish that when I click links they would direct me to chrome instead of safari.

Just pay attention to all of the spam you will get that seams to know where you have been online. I actually stopped using Google search in Safari because I would search for something and within 30 minutes I would get an email with spam related to my search. I had to reset Safari to stop it.

I hate Google. Tell me why a company would pay millions give people free phone numbers with google voice? The can monitor your calls, know who is talking to who and everything that is said. A treasure trove of data to sell.

man sthu, we understand you don't like GOOGLE! Get over it

You act like Apple isn't doing the same thing, wow

Annnnnnd now the wait begins for a jailbreak dev to make a tweak to allow Chrome to be the default browser (pretty please?).

Looking forward to trying Chrome out, though. And, of course, Google Drive.

Jailbreak has had this for years. DefaultApp or something, allowed me to change default browser and mail app and more.

To those that whine about privacy: have you actually researched it? Chrome doesn't send any additional info than what other browsers do. The unique ID header was removed in version 4.1. You also get incognito mode, which wipes all your cookies on exit so ad companies can't track you.

If that was the case they have no purpose to offer this product. Their purpose is to sell information. Your's! Do you really believe that. This is a company that purposely violated Apple policies to have access to your data. For instance that Google Voice App was rejected because they chose to download all of your contact information to their servers. Not to mention tracking Customers through Safari even when no track was selected.

Decent browser only getting the hype Because the name chrome.

Agreed, opera on the iPad is super fast and reliable, and iCab... Well want can you say about it, it's such a stellar piece of software, it can do so much, and it infinitely customisable. Yeah consider this a plug, and I have nothing absolutely to do with the guy who made it, but no iPad should be without it, jaut effing great.

Of course the worst of all, is easily safari. At least it's not as crap as on the mac.

UK based and can find Chrome is I search for it, but go to install tell me no longer avalible

Using it now, so far it seems a little slower than Safari, but i like the fact that that it syncs with my PC's chrome without the use of an app.

Incognito tabs... Also proof of them getting your information with the new chrome app?
