WTF has it been removed? Just tried to download it and got the message 'that is no longer available' or something along those lines.
It has not been removed. But it just isn't a very fine browser either. Guaranteed slower speed esp in Javascript (not really the fault of Google), the difficulty in getting into my book marks (3 taps), and I don't know why my tabs are constantly refreshing - man I'm using an iPad 3 with 1GB RAM and only 2 open tabs. It's suddenly like using the original iPad browsing engadget and the next web together.

I will keep it in my iPad, but I won't choose it over Safari.:(

Sync with my Chrome desktop browser.

And on desktops Chrome is WAY better then Safari.

I only use Chrome on both my Windows PC and Macs. On Windows PC it's great because other browsers suck. But on the Mac the experience is worse than Safari because it doesn't support smooth two finger pinch-to-zoom, it's gradient / levelled zoom instead of fine zooming like that on iPhone / iPad. This is really quite annoying. Otherwise it's very fine.

If it hasn't been removed then why are so many people getting the message saying it is no longer available?

Downloaded fine here...

...and I love it. Favourite browser on Windows and Mac now syncing with my phone. Just needs to be default browser. Speed difference worth taking.

Folks getting the message that it's removed are you outside the US? I'm in the UK and got the message but signed into my US account and it downloaded fine.

I might give it a try for the sake of it. On my Galaxy Note Chrome is a total lackluster and hardly better than the stock ICS browser. It is a totally overhyped piece of software Imo and Dolphin (or Opera Mobile) is much smoother and more versatile.

Yep also getting annoyed by the constant refreshes. I've also noticed this memory zoom like when I click the back button it zooms back to what I was looking at. It throws me off.

Still going to use this over Safari even with the flaws. Being able to resume browsing what I had open on my desktop makes it worthwhile.

Anyone else getting the account sign-in details are out of date error whenever they try to login?

I'm loving it so far. It's running very, very well. Chrome has been used on my old PC - and now Mac - since its early beta stages, and I've loved every minute of it.

Thanks, Google. It's awesome.

I've bee excited for Google Drive to come to iOS since Drive went live. Must say, not being to edit files or see changes being made to it in real time like on Android really blows. I won't be loading it again until they roll out an update. Can't believe it took them this long to produce this piece of crap.

Now I can finally leave the "locked-in" useless iCloud.

I can live with the slower JavaScript. I'm just glad I can sync between iOS, OS X, Win 7, and Ubuntu without a hiccup. I ditched Safari on OS X a while ago because of its terrible performance and ridiculous memory usage... it's nice that my Chrome bookmarks will now be synced my iOS.

Keep the development coming Google!

Wow, I'm really surpised people think this is so great. I can think of at least 3 browsers I like better than Chrome (Safari, Dolphin, iCabMobile). The ONLY feature I've seen that others don't have is syncing open tabs from browsers across devices. Not worth switching to me, especially since Chrome on the PC is a pile of ****

I love Chrome on my Mac so was very happy to see it finally come available for my iPad. In the brief time I have used it, I see no reason why I'd use Safari.

For those people who (kindly) keep posting a "Direct Link" to the iOS version of Chrome....

It doesn't work.

All that happens is, the link opens the App Store and you can see Chrome in all it's glory, but when you click on install it thinks about it for a couple of seconds (so you think the download is actually starting), but you then get the message "Sorry, the item you are trying to download is no longer available".

So no amount of links will help I'm afraid, until Apple put it back on the UK (+ maybe others?) App Store.

It looks like its only available to our USA friends (and those outside of the USA that have a US iTunes account).

It's available outside the US. I downloaded and installed it successfully from the Hong Kong App Store.

Using an iTunes account from which region though?

Anyway-it looks like its back on the UK App Store, as I just got using the normal method, using my UK iTunes I.D. :)
