But you're just proving what I said. Your idea of "better"has no value to anyone except for yourself. I have no need or desire to watch videos while typing. Your "better" notification system is an opinion.
Sure benchmarks aren't everything, but they're far more concrete examples of "better" than what you've presented.
Using your school of thought, here are some examples of my own:
I'm always running the latest version of my OS. You're not. This makes my phone better.
I have iTunes where I can get millions of songs movies tv shows. You can't. My phone is better.
I have a better app store with better apps.
Would you agree now, based on my opinions, that iPhone is better? If not, why not? I used the same logic as you.
OK, you dont care about that(that was just an example and iPhone users ive showed that to actually love that feature) but for me and many others, Android does a lot more than iOS(that is actually a fact that it does more) and having better notifications is not an opinion. It is flat better and thats a fact.
Doesnt make a device better which was your basis of benchmarks. Did you even read the link i provided?
I am, and can if i want. You will get the updates but wont always get the full version. Like the iP4 isnt getting and i think even the 4S didnt get the full version of iOS 6 but could be wrong there.
No matter what Android device one has, they will always get the latest App updates. None of this "only works for those using 4.0 and up" like Apple does.
I happen to HATE iTunes and was a reason i switched and i can get all that in the Playstore. Have you ever even used Android before?
Eh, subject to opinion. Games are better, ill give you that.
No and since you have apparently never used Android, it would take me forever to explain why, so im not going to. There is plenty to read here in this forum of what Android can do and does more that you probably have no idea about.
I have no doubt that Android is better for YOU, but again, that's your opinion and you can't apply it to everyone. I've used both and I prefer iOS.
I'm not even going to bother arguing about your notifications thing. All I'm going to say is, maybe you and the other guy should hang outNeither of you know what an opinion is. It's not a "fact" that Android notifications are better.
Benchmarks prove much more than your opinions.
.After how long? The S3 just started getting jellybean in the US, which has been out for months. As I already said I was using ridiculous examples to prove how ridiculous your examples are. I know that having the latest OS version doesn't somehow make my phone better then another phone. Why don't you know that reading while watching doesn't automatically mean your phone is better then any other? It's all about what a person wants/needs out of a phone
Dude and i dont care. There are 650,000 apps in the playstore. I have about 85. I dont read books but there are tons in there. There are tons of movies, many which i dont care about and there are tons of TV shows...many which i dont watch but there are plenty i do like.If you think the play store has anywhere near the amount of content as iTunes, you are lying to yourself. The Play Store is dwarfed by iTunes when it comes to available music, and I'm sure the same applies for TV shows and Movies.
Yes. It's an opinion. Just like saying notifications are better is an opinion and not "flat out fact" like you're suggesting.
LOL, it is miles better. How is it even close to being better on iOS? Hell they copied it from Android anyways and as usual, just put their own touch on it like they do when they copy other things from others. There is a notification for EVERYTHING on Android...plus it has LED to go with it.
Its fine if it isnt better for you. I always say use what works for you best. Some just will never admit that there is something better than Apple.
It really doesnt. Read the article. There are many others too. These phones work much different than each others and there are factors of how scores come out as well. It is a gauge of performance yes but really, they are misleading at times and really dont tell the whole story but i you dont read anything about it, you will always be ignorant to it.
Who cares how long. I have it and will probably get Key Lime pie too. Or i can put it on myself if i want. Samsung is real good about releasing source code.
How long will it be til you get iOS 7? Thats right, another year.
And i didnt say mine was better because i could do that. I said i can do it and you cant and iPghne users ive shown that too actually are envious of that. Me myself, ive used it sparingly.
But i do love the NFC feature and have used it and it is awesome. iPhone users ive shown that to LOVE that and they cant do it. Its pretty cool to be ablke to touch phones and get a video or pictures or a song and it transfers really fast.

The Playstore is just fine and has a lot of things in there. If you are sayng it isnt good enough for you and you cant find anything worth a crap, then YOU are lying to yourself.
I dnt care if you think it is better or not. I dont care what you use. Use the iPhone, i dont care. When i switched, i was flabergasted to what Android do that i couldnt and never looking back.
You act like I'm the only one that thinks benchmarks don't really matter. Never mind that I posted an article and said there are many others saying the same thing. Believe what you want.
And sorry for not being able to see your sarcasm. Maybe you should pay a video of you trying to be a smart as soon. It would be more plain to see.
And I don't care what you want to say, notifications are far better on android and only android fan boys won't see it that way but even most of them agree it is so whatever.
Too bad you won't read anything given to you and just want to claim everyone is wrong. So be it. I'm not trying to convince you, just show you there is something and others that don't agree with you.
You act like I'm the only one that thinks notifications are better on iOS. Nevermind this article: http://bgr.com/2011/06/13/how-apple-stole-notifications-from-android-and-beat-them-with-ios-5/ and this one: http://www.ign.com/articles/2011/06/18/notifications-ios-5-vs-android Believe what you want.
And I don't care what you want to say, notifications are far better on iOS and only fan boys won't see it that way but even most of them agree it is so whatever.
Too bad you won't understand that yours is an opinion and want to claim that your opinion is fact. So be it. I'm not trying to convince you, just trying to define words for you.
Are you convinced now?? I'm using your EXACT logic to argue back at you! Do you see how stupid it sounds now at least? You've proven nothing, other than that you have an opinion...
Awesome, your posting articles from July 2011. Gee no improvevments made sense then...and it was better then too. Yeah i know, my opinion and the majority of others too. But i guess you need a chart to believe that....the same charts that you dont produce. Cool, you have your opinion and i have mine.
When is the last time you used Android? Im guessing three years ago with Froyo.
?? what are you rambling about? so in other words, when I show you that not everyone thinks android notifications are the best, you just dismiss it outright? Like I said, you want to pass off your opinions as facts and it doesn't work like that, no matter how badly you want it too.
And who is this "majority of others"? You keep saying, "everyone", and "majority" and "a lot of people" but you're not proving your point (and it cant be proven, because it's an opinion).
When was the last time I used Android? Today. On my Galaxy Nexus. Why do you ask? Do you think that just because I used Jellybean I should bow at the feet of Android because it wouldn't make sense if I didn't??
Yours is an opinion. And no it's not a fact.
What are YOU rambling about? Go read more than two articles Bro. What,... is only what you post worthy? You really must be a real lawyer because your annoying as hell.
And with that we come to the ad hominem. Always a sure sign of defeat. Have a good day![]()
Ha, by god your right always a sure sign......have a great day.
It really is my fault though. I can't believe I got into a discussion about what an opinion is! I should have stopped while you were behindAnyhow, you enjoy your "better" OS, I'll enjoy mine!
This ****'s about to get interesting.
Given Android is very much on a stable, non-fragmented heading now (the latest Android builds have come on leaps and bounds), this could actually be a heck of a lot more successful than the previous attempts.
Apple needs to up their game - Android is now the better OS, undeniably with the likes of the S3 and Note.
It's only a recent change however, but certainly a worrying one for Apple.
have you noticed latest news about Android 4.2 with all kinds of glitches. Google seems too eager to defeat iOS that starting release beta version of Android before it getting reliable enough.
Why don't benchmarks mean anything?
Anyhow, you enjoy your "better" OS, I'll enjoy mine!
I think you meant to say enjoy your better OS and I'll enjoy mine.
Putting it in quotes even negates your statement that judging an OS is subjective.
If you did it for sarcastic purposes - all you're doing is baiting the other poster. Which, at this point in the discussion, is silly in my opinion.
my .02
How many 4.2 devices do you own? I'm guessing 0.
I'm also guessing thats the amount of Android devices you own.
Want to know how many 4.2 devices I have? 3 ... and 0 of these have "all kinds of glitches".
Furthermore, I'm almost certain that by "all kinds of glitches" you mean the lag caused by Google Currents (which isn't a core App of Android) which can be fixed in under a minute even by a complete novice user:
http://www.talkandroid.com/141899-does-your-nexus-7-lag-after-the-4-2-update-theres-a-fix-for-that/
Oh, and I believe that's since been fixed in an update.
----------
Because all the iPhone users tell the world that benchmarks mean nothing when Androids gets better results.
Here's how it works:
When an Android device gets better benchmarks, they don't mean anything and benchmarks are meaningless. It's all about the user experience.
When iPhone gets better benchmarks, UX is meaningless and any phone that doesn't beat iPhone in benchmarks (which are now vitally important) is total garbage.
You know. The same way that after iPhone got the "retina" display, any phone without it had a completely unreadable screen. Then, once all the Android devices started getting this technology it was "sure they have a high PPI but the colors aren't as good".
Then iPad Mini came with a non-retina display and suddenly everyones vision deteriorated and they "couldn't tell the difference" or "the screen is perfectly adequate".

Thank you...moderator? And what, pray tell, was your contribution to this post by trying to give me advice?
Where was my advice? I merely stated my opinion.
No that is false. It's irrelevant if benchmarks "matter" to you. They are a tangible, provable way to show how a device performs better than another.
Actually, benchmarks are not a way to show how a device performs better. A benchmark is nothing more than a standard or point of reference against which things may be compared or assessed. You can determine which processor crunches more cycles in a second, which GPU can throw around more pixels, etc. What you cannot determine with benchmarks is which product is better because that is a very relative judgment based on a myriad of factors having nothing to do with baseline hardware performance.
Also, people who tend to say "benchmarks don't matter" usually own equipment that doesn't rate very well in the benchmarks. I count myself as one of those. I've been a life-long Mac user. I couldn't care less about benchmarks because I didn't buy my Macs because of their blistering CPU performance. I buy Macs because I get more work done in less time than with a Windows PC, and that is worth more than any benchmark could hope to achieve.
The huge failure is your post..
