Not sure how accurate this is, the GPU clocks seem lower than they probably should be.

Man, I think this Pixel 10 Pro is probably the nicest phone hardware I've ever seen. Look and feel in the hand, design aesthetics, color, it's all on-point imo.

Isn't it 99% the exact same look, design, feel and shape and similar display as last years Pixel 9 Pro series?

Not knocking the Pixel 10 line or its hardware, I think it's the best smartphone for 2025, I'm just talking specifically the shape and feel in hand is identical to last years phone.

Id like to add, the fingerprint sensor in my P7 was atrocious. Couldn't even use it.

It was better in my P8 but rarely worked with my thumb, worked better with my index finger , but still not always.

FP sensor on this one is absolutely terrific! Only did a one time thumb print and it is very responsive and fast.

Well to be fair I haven't used a Pixel 9 Pro as my personal phone, but yeah it's basically identical. My wife has had one for a bit though and has thoroughly loved it. And I definitely meant like the whole package because I'm over the moon (pun intended) with this Moonstone color.

To me, the Pixel 10 Pro XL is a £899 device max. The price point is just crazy.

How are you working that out? With all the deals Google are doing (at least here in the UK) it seems like a decent offering. £100 credit to Google store account, and 1 year free of the AI Pro subscription, plus decent trade in deals (Google are offering £502 for my S24 Ultra)

I still don’t think I’ve mastered Goodlock on my S24 Ultra 😬. I was just wondering if there was an equivalent for the Pixel.
I gave up on good lock as everything I did made it look worse lol. the only thing I sued it for was for folders, so that they didn't take up the whole screen when opened

Loving being back on a "small" phone (10 Pro). The S25U and 16PM were just such huge chonkers. This phone feels great in the hand.

I've ditched the Moonstone case. I like the Moonstone phone, but the case leans more pastel lilac than the bluish silver look I wanted.

I set the phone up as new from scratch and used it as a chance to try new things. I started using FreshRSS and try Capy Reader (was on Inoreader before). Also trying Vivaldi as my main browser instead of my old combo of Chrome + DNS ad blocking. I am also trying to stick with the Pixel launcher and use the At a Glance and Daily Hub stuff rather than my Niagra Launcher setup I have been rocking for a few years now.

Google Pixel hit the scene in 2016 and, ever since, Google has been trying to figure out how it wants to build a flagship Android smartphone. It’s been a bit of a roller coaster ride in one way or another, but after a week using the Pixel 10 Pro XL, I think, for better or worse, this is the culmination of Google’s efforts thus far....

You know you are going to get it lol. No amount of reviews are stopping you. You get the new SS, Apple and Google every year. Maybe not the SS but iPhone for sure. Some just cant let go of those even though its way behind.
I mean, you are listing your phone history in your Sig,...which needs updating. Only a matter of time and we all know it 😄

Im just playin but it is true lol.

LOL right.

I stopped with iPhone's, my last one was the 12 Pro Max, I just can't get on with iOS, it blows and feels super outdated. And Liquid Glass is liquid ass :) I was expecting a total revamp of iOS not just a theme or skin which is what liquid glass is. My opinion.

Samsung, I greatly respect the [H]ardware of the Galaxy Ultra phones, top tier Android. I had the S24U, great device. But as good as OneUI has gotten, I still preferred the Pixel UI over it. So no more Samsung's for me.

I've been buying smartphones for close to 20 years now, probably had 30+ different phones over those years. iPhone's I think were maybe only 3 or 4 out of the 30, and Samsung's the same maybe 4 to 5, but the vast majority were Nexus and Pixel phones, I think I bought almost each one year after year, except a couple. And then the early OnePlus phones I liked too, and the HTC One phones.

Any smartphone I buy this year would be the Pixel 10 Pro ( I have always purchased the XL's or Pro XL's, but for some reason I'm looking to go smaller, kind of sick of giant phones. My Wife has the regular Pixel 8, and it's super comfortable and compact feeling )

I went by AT&T earlier and they had the 10, 10 Pro and 10 Pro Xl on diso. Very nice phones. It's always somewhat hard to get a good feel since you can't really change things to make it like you want it but I still thought they were nice. The XL is easier to type on but I prefer the size of the regular 10.
Now I have to decide if I want to go back to a slab phone or get the Fold 7.

Anyone know if a 45 mm watch is ok on a 160mm wrist?

for reference I use a 46mm garmin forerunner 265 and I wouldn't want it any bigger, I'm worried the straps will poke out more

Only reason I haven't got a SS is they are slow with updates. I'm not usually one to need the latest thing and on my tablets I don't care at all but SS doesn't need to be so slow but they are.
Other than that I really like their phones.

I haven't had an iPhone since like 2010.
