I have to say I was really torn and afraid going with the smaller Pro over the XL, as almost all my smartphones have been XL's, Ultra's, Max sizes phones for years.

The last time I had a "regular" sized phone is probably back in the Nexus days when there wasn't an option.

I mostly went XL for the larger battery.

But I have been getting tired carrying these bricks in my pockets, especially with cases on these Ultra sized phones, which are like mini tablets almost LOL.

Well I activated the e-SIM today and been using this Pixel 10 Pro, and you know what?

I'm loving this smaller size and one hand friendly phone, it really is way more comfortable.

Will battery life be worse on this compared to the Pro XL? Yeah probably, but I'm around a charger so often and have several wireless chargers, and plan to pick up the PixelSnap charger soon, so not too worried.

I bought the 256GB in white color, with the official Google white silcone case. And it feels very nice. I miss the old Panda colorway options when they were white with some black on there and then maybe a funky color for the power button. I wish they would go back to that design.

I still have my Pixel 9 Pro XL, and it feels huge now in comparison. And honestly that larger phone didn't really give me anything more to see or view. I didn't put more app icons on there, or more widgets on there. It really is just a larger screen of the same screen I have on the smaller phone.

I don't game on my phone, that's what my custom built PC is for. And watching videos doesn't really matter that much from.6.8" to 6.3".

Let's see how this goes. So far so good. And I am just more comfortable with stock Android compared to OneUI or iOS. When I buy a Galaxy Ultra or iPhone Pro I always try to make it like a Pixel LOL. So I'll just stick with what feels best for me.

Lock and Home screens;

I'm really enjoying my 10 Pro regular size coming from the 9 Pro XL. Similar to some others, I'm enjoying being back to a regular sized phone. I use it caseless around the house, a Spigen liquid air case for exercise and a Bellroy case for work.

I had a limited play with a pixel 10 pro in a carrier store yesterday, it was running that crappy store software mode so not ideal.

I did come away impressed though. Build quality excellent, I’m probably the exception but I prefer the phones slightly heavier than the new wave of lighter and thinner phones that are coming out, and the pixel pro felt really well built.

I’m sorry I just don’t understand this argument. The Pixel 9 Pro Fold when closed is the size of a regular 6.3 inch slab phone. It’s barely thicker than a regular slab phone and has the same aspect ratio. Yes, the first Pixel Fold had a more landscape focused orientation but a smaller inner display when opened and much smaller 5.8 inch screen when closed. Why do larger letter boxing bars matter if the actual size of the video is the same or larger? The larger screen on the newer Folds means more screen real estate for everything else besides watching video.

If you preferred the original Fold model because it was just an overall smaller device, fine I can understand that. But the aspect ratio of the screen when opened argument doesn’t make any sense.
You’re right, it does have the same aspect ratio as a regular phone now. I’m not sure why it doesn’t feel that way to me. Maybe it’s the chunky build and that massive bezel near the hinge. It just feels like a missed opportunity: such a big screen for watching videos, yet the letterboxing is huge. Still, I guess it’s a fair tradeoff, since as you say, everything else about it is better in almost every way. Interestingly, it looks like Apple might go with a similar aspect ratio to the original Pixel. maybe video and film viewing is more of a priority for them? 🤔

Went to this setting screen, should I keep it default like it is?

Really digging the official Google Pixel snap silicone cases for this phone.

I've had them on my Pixel 8 Pro and 9 Pro XL, but they made those phones feel too large and bulky so I never really cared for them.

But on this smaller 10 Pro they feel just so comfortable and good, plus they look cool.

I have 2 now, the Porcelain white case to match my white 10 Pro ( hope they don't yellow or get dirty down the road? ) and today picked up the Moonstone colored case.

What cool Qi2 stuff are you getting or have for your Pixel 10?

Power bank chargers that magnetically clip on the back of the phone?

Are pop sockets or the things that help hold the phone with a little ring or rope on it helpful? Or not?

How bout for your car? A magnetic holder that charges the phone and also holds the phone in place?

I have the new belkin qi2.2 charger, and a Spigen metal pop socket\stand thing, but I don't really use it much tbh

Hi everyone,

I am seeking input from long-term Pixel users, particularly those based in the UK. I am currently using a Pixel 10 Pro XL on an unlimited and unrestricted EE plan.

I have observed that while my download speeds are generally good, my upload speeds are consistently low. I have conducted a direct comparison with an iPhone on the same network and in the same location, which showed a noticeable difference.

My home Wi-Fi connection is performing as expected, which suggests the issue is specific to the cellular connection. I have already attempted to resolve this by resetting network settings without success.

While the fast download speeds are acceptable, I am curious if this is a known characteristic of the Pixel 10 Pro XL or if it indicates a potential hardware fault with my specific device.

Thank you for your insights.

Are there other networks you can test out? What about your cellular signal, any differences there?

Got a 10PXL a couple days ago and haven't noticed any signal issues, my wifi at home is the same as my Galaxy phone.

I have noticed Bluetooth issues where every so often I get disconnect notices from my earbuds. Not only that, but Samsung watches don't work with this phone for some ridiculous reason. There are reddit and official threads on it. No matter what I do my GW Ultra does not pair with the phone. One time it paired "remotely via wifi" which I've never seen in my life until now, and the battery went totally dead in 3-4 hours.

Very impressed so far aside from what may be a deal breaking Bluetooth issue. I am not leaving my watch in a drawer waiting for Google to figure it out.

I haven't sold my GW ultra yet so I will try setting it up and see if I have same issues

Google is working on a fix.
I was more trying it out for Hartag as I am selling my watch, and TBH I am tempted to step back several generations of os and go back to the iPhone as it seems less unreliable and my other half is on an iPhone and I have a mac and ipad..

I updated my watch through my Samsung phone and this time it finally paired. But the watch is completely unresponsive to anything I do in the Wear app on the Pixel. Can't change any setting, battery indicator is wrong, weather, etc.

I also had bad static with my earbuds during a work call and the call dropped. Not sure whether this is sustainable for me. Really love the phone in all other respects, but if it can't function as a phone or connect to my watch, kind of unacceptable. I know Google is aware of it, I've learned in the past to not keep a product hoping for a fix. It either works out of the box or goes back.

Took another call as I was typing this response, the call went to my phone and not my earbuds despite being connected. Come on, Google.

What earbuds are you using? I have a Samsung watch and earbuds so this is a red flag for me.

It finally works properly, I think all of the software (Samsung health, smart switch, etc.) all needed to do their thing because I also read that it helped to install smart switch on the Pixel. Watch works for now the same as it does on my Galaxy phone. People report that after awhile the watch disconnects and then battery tanks, we'll see.

Just to save you time, here's what I did. Factory reset the watch and then paired + updated with my Samsung phone. Install and fully set up / log in to Samsung Wear, Samsung Health, and smart switch on the Pixel. Transferred the watch to the Pixel using the Wear app and it worked. It took about 20 minutes for everything on the watch to start working properly and syncing to the Pixel.

I'm using Technics AZ100 earbuds, no issues at all on my other phone. Will give it a few days and see.

I'm glad you got it working. I don't have a Pixel yet and even though I'm sure these issues will be addressed they somewhat make me want to stick with Samsung.

One thing that may be worth playing with: enable Developer Options and you can try changing some of the bluetooth settings. LE Audio can be disabled or forced on, codecs can be changed, and there are also a lot of other settings you can try changing to see if they improve anything. You shouldn't HAVE to do any of this, but you might find a setting there that helps.

FWIW: I have used a Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, OpenDots One, and Cambridge Audio Melomania A100 with no issues. All my settings are default.

I've observed that cellular download speeds are fast, though upload speeds appear to be limited to around 20 Mbps. For Wi-Fi, the device achieves the maximum download and upload speeds specified by Virgin Broadband.

Despite this minor issue, the overall experience has been excellent. The transfer of my Galaxy Watch8 Classic from the S25 Ultra was smooth and without any problems. The overnight battery drain is consistent with my previous device, and the lack of ECG and blood pressure features is not a significant concern. I'm very pleased with the performance of the Pixel 10 Pro XL and Galaxy Watch8 Classic pairing.

I had issues pairing my Ultra watch to my Pixel after it worked for the first few days. Gave up in the end and sold my watch. 😂

I had LE audio enabled since it fixed sync issues when watching video. I just disabled it and am using regular LDAC, hopefully that solves it.

That's great, glad you are enjoying so far, overall. Hopefully your watch continues to stay connected!

Would be good to hear your thoughts on the Pixel vs your S25U please.
