No universal back button with iOS. It boggles my mind how apple has made this optional with developers

That's just one of the reasons I will never get an iPhone anytime soon again. Not a fan of iOS whatsoever. I wouldn't want a downgrade from my Pixel to an iPhone.

Was really let down by Apple with iOS 19. I was expecting a full-blown revamp redo of their operating system. But all they did was make a cheesy theme/skin Liquid Ass.

Anyways, I'm just a sucker for the smooth fluid Pixel UI and the really artistic cool design of Material 3.

YouTube Music / Google Pixel combo is the best.

My Pixel was late arriving last night so I didn't get much more done besides transferring apps over. I've been logging into apps and setting things up today.
Power and volume button arrangement is awkward but I'll adjust pretty soon.
Fingerprint sensor and face unlock are both super fast.
Once everything is like I want it I think I'm going to really enjoy this phone.

I currently have a iPhone 15 Pro Max and S24 Ultra. I have to say i agree with you, IOS 26 wasn’t the complete overall i thought it would be. Liquid Glass is annoying in places and not a big overall. I’m very disappointed in iPadOS as well, it is more annoying to use since Apple are now trying to turn the iPad into a Mac, something i never thought they would do.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Pixel to replace my S24 Ultra, if I really like it maybe even one day replace my iPhone. Apple seem to have become boring, i use to upgrade my iPhone every other year sometimes even every year. I’m still on the iPhone 17 because there just doesn’t seem to be much if any innovation from the new iPhones.

I also get the impression that Google are tying to court iPhone users with the Pixel and it’s Pixel OS, a more simple version of Android.

I have it free with my YT premium. It’s not for me I’ve never got on with it.
Takes a little time to get used to but now that I've gotten used to it, it's personally my favorite of all of them. The way it's baked into Gemini is so nice. The library is huge and the algorithms are so good.

For those of you that are using a Galaxy watch with your Pixel is there a workaround to get alarms from the phone to sync to the watch? I like to have my watch going off with my alarm for those extra tired mornings.

I pickup up a s25 edge and I like it but the only thing that bothers me is the battery long term and te lack of a silent slider. This thing makes noise for every notification it receives.

I can't use it's it's just too slow as dumbed down honestly but I like the watch and ear buds.

I like one plus but the software is kinda hit or miss.

I do like how light the edge is in the pocket smd might keep it. If it can last for 2 years it's a decent buy.

Yes! Install the clock app from the app store on the watch. Works great.

After 2-3 days on the Pixel 10 Pro I'm pretty pleased with it.
Battery life is much better than my Fold 5 so far, definitely better than I expected.
Love the camera so much.
The size is really nice, I don't feel like I am carrying a brick in my pocket and it feels really good in the hand.
The software is nice, just a really clean experience.
I don't have it completely set up as far as apps because that's been a pain but I'm probably 85% done.
I think a lot of people would be happy with this phone if they would give it a try.

Better than Spotify?
Just to give my view, Spotify now has lossless audio which is good and their algorithm just cannot be topped for me.
I use both Apple Music and Spotify. Spotify for the car because my vehicle has a built in Spotify app that means sound quality through the upgraded speakers is insane versus wired or wireless CarPlay when it “streams” rather than natively delivers the sound.

I look forward to albums finishing to see what it will throw at me and I’ve discovered so much good music and artists this way with Spotify.
Apple Music is nowhere bloody near. Plays any old sh*t for me. 🫠😭

Spotify is awesome in the car with the app built-in to the car. I have Sirius XM bc they gave me a free year lol so I listen to it as well but use Spotify in the car and YT Music is my gym flow or Apple Music

Man iOS is so frustrating compared to android. Back button/swipe, well lack of, and keyboard.

I do Like Apple music over spotify though as weirdly their recommendations are better for me, and they don't have as many in my opinion, unethical practices like spotify.

I called my mortgage company a few minutes ago. It's the first fall I've made to a business since I got this phone and consider me impressed. I have all the options for the dialer on and showing the transcription and the options was so nice. This phone is going to have me spoiled.

that back swipe is really an issue on a pro max user with small hands. i came from 16pm to 17 pro and made it easier.
they have this universal back swipe (anywhere on the screen) I think only applies on the Settings area.

before the telegram do have this back swipe gesture anywhere on the screen but after when the telegram made its own liquid glass version update it became buggy. sometimes you need to bring down the keyboard before you can swipe back anywhere on the screen and even from the farthest side.
