You can buy a mint condition 128GB 16 with 100% battery off ebay for $650 all day. Why would anyone get a 16e?

In Sweden, the price difference is $190. $650 for the Pixel and $840 for the 16e (base models). A few years ago, I bought a Pixel 6a for my nephew, and he’s still using it. The photos it takes are really impressive. Now, he’s planning to upgrade to the Pixel 10 when it launches in September.
I also got a Pixel 7 Pro as a second phone but ended up giving it to my son. It’s a fantastic device—portrait shots of our cats look even better than those taken with my iPhone 15 Pro Max. For me, Apple’s main appeal is its ecosystem, but if they keep going in the same direction, I might consider stepping away from it.

I
I never once spoke about the global market I’m constantly stating the US market. It’s just funny seeing yall twlk like this new pixel is about to eat into Apple market share
If Google sold the Pixel 9a worldwide on the scale that Samsung does with the Galaxy A36 and A56, it would be a very popular model indeed. But I think the Galaxy A36 and A56 will dominate worldwide midrange Android market, especially with suspicions on Chinese company phones (there's been some issues using Huawei and newer Xiaomi cellphones outside of China).

The vast majority of young people in America want iPhones. Non of the AI solutions has penetrated the regular consumer market beyond students using it to cheat. Especially considering most Americans buy their phones in monthly installments. In competitive markets outside the United States I can see the Pixel having a better chance with consumers. I know my mother and sisters are more likely to get the cheapest iPhone to replace their current iPhones then learning android and buying a pixel
Pixel has struggled a ton, at least in my experience (within the US).
The brand is struggling so much here, that we're even tearing down the Pixel display wall in my AT&T store.
Samsung is currently eating Google's lunch in this segment.

So a used phone? I have no proof of purchase from Apple and no guarantee of support. I cannot buy AppleCare. If the original purchaser reports it stolen, what then? What if it is carrier locked? No thanks.

Only the pro models. 120hz is a standard for years on mobile phones, except on Apple’s.
To clarify 120 hz ‘Touch refresh rate’ (also known as Touch Sampling Rate) is the screen waiting for the user to touch the screen e.g launching an app, the higher the rate means better responsiveness. It’s been there since iPhone X in 2017

Not always the case. I recently picked up an Honor Magic V3 folder and the OS is basically exactly like iOS, but works even better. It’s the same experience without the software bugs that Apple can’t seem to ever fix.
With Android, it's a hit or miss. Also, you may buy a new phone today, and very soon you will have a hard time getting updates for it. The manufacturer may have released a new phone and forgot about yours.

Apple keeps releasing updates for their old phones, sometimes for up to 8 years. That's a commitment.

people say that about iOS outside the US
Just did a phone upgrade for a kid. Couldn't believe how difficult Apple made it because their engineers don't know what they're doing. Took 5 minutes to connect to the phone, then the error where the transfer fails, and then had to restart and do an update on the new phone when it didn't ask before. It's ridiculous.

Samsung you just install smart switch on both phones and call it a day.

Google and Samsung give 7 years. Apple 6 years (fact check)

I haven’t messed around enough with androids yet. I’d like to see what they are like after reading this
I switched to android and unless Apple really improves IOS there is no way I would switch back to IOS. My wife's Iphone 15 feels so basic compared to my Oneplus 12.
