If you must blow it, then buy a game on Steam, or some iTunes purchases maybe?

I spent over $600 on iTunes stuff...but I guess I can continue. :D

Buy iTunes gift card or something. What's your YouTube channel?

It's a bad channel, but ComputerBunnyMath123

You got money in the bank? If not or just a little, save half of it for the unexpected.

The problem is there isn't much of an unexpected when you're 15...or 50$ won't help much at my age at least. :/

I would say hookers and cocaine but that probably isn't a wise move at this point.

Save it.

What do you like to do, I know you mentioned a few things you would like to spend it on, but what else do you like to do?

One $100 hooker-bot, or one-hundred $1 hooker-bots?

I really don't know, school is sucking life out of me, I guess I'll resort to lots of Mac apps for school. :) I just mostly play Mac games, PC games and go on YouTube

Charity is a good idea. It feels good. :)

Even at a 10% return he will have $110 next year. It's not enough to make a difference in life.

You need money to make money.

However, if you never start, you'll never have anything. I started investing at 16 and lets put it this way, there's an entire group of people called "occupy wall street" that despise me.

I didn't grow up with money either, I mowed lawns during the summer.

Nobody's holding you back but yourself.

How? I don't know too much about that at my age. I thought of investing in a small company, buy some stocks and hope it goes big.

Do research and don't think of the money as "available". Their example about McDonalds is pretty neat. I did something similar with nVidia.

Hi. I'm getting $100 from YouTube to burn (AdSense :D), what should I burn it on? I thought:
-$20 PC game
-eReader
-Save up for iPad Mini

Any thoughts?

How much is it worth to you? I might consider going out to eat and pick a table and anonymously pay their tab and tip.

Put it in a Roth IRA pre-tax. You'll be grateful in 20 years. In fact, continue to put whatever money you make via YouTube into the Roth. You'll be happy you did.

I have noticed that people treat money that comes from different sources somewhat differently. Thus, money that is paid weekly for a task, or a wage, is viewed differently (and spent differently) from an occasional windfall.

Thus, I would suggest that you spend some of it on something that you would actually value, or really would like to have; if saving, have it as the starting block in a savings account that has a designated outcome (an Apple computer, or car, or towards college), rather than simply say 'savings'.

Likewise, I would not fritter it away on something disposable, or a form of instant gratification, such as a computer game. It is possible that you would like to be able to look back and say to yourself, "oh yes, this is what I bought with that money," or, "this is what I put that money towards buying."

I know I'm late to this game... but I think what makes a difference is what you normally do. I'm assuming that because you asked for advice then you want to do something 'different' with our windfall.

If you are by nature a 'spender' and don't have much in savings (which is my impression) then use it start a savings scheme that you then continue to add to on a regular basis. Don't underestimate the power of compounding interest. Start an account with the $100, and figure out a way to add even $10 a week to it - every week. Add the occasional windfall to it as well as you go along. And then be disciplined and don't touch it for at least 5 years (as you continue to add to the account). You'll have a nice savings nest egg that can actually be useful. In my experience relatives are much more likely to gift cash to a savings account than for just yet another e-game or other trivial purchase.

On the other hand, if my assumption is incorrect, and you happen to be a saver by nature and are looking to have some fun instead.... Do something dramatic. Don't buy your buddies a round at a bar, buy a round at bar for some strangers. Mind you - $100 isn't going to go far, so pick a very small bar. Or go to a homeless shelter or other front-line charity and anonymously donate it. Just pop in, give it to the desk and rush out. They'll be talking about you for days.

Definitely don't save it. Spend it. I'm not saying saving money is bad, but this is only $100 and you're a teen. You have the rest of your life to make money. Some people spend so much time saving money they never get to enjoy all the money they saved. Your money ain't good for anything after you're dead anyway.

The peace of mind of having money available is worth more than any notion of buying things and never having enough in my account.

That's just me though

If you really have the money to "burn", invest it in a stock or mutual fund. Worst case scenario is that you really burned it. Best case scenario is that you made money. But there's a good chance you won't really burn it if you keep the investment for a long time.

Nice job on getting $100 from YouTube. I just started on YouTube a few weeks ago and got ads turned last Sunday. I have made 50 cents.

Thanks. :)
I now have $185, truth is that AdSense is really a little bit of luck, too. Over time you'll make more profit.

I enabled AdSense 8 months after I started my channel. You'll make real money in no time :)
