I have an Apple TV. All I need is a MacBook and HomePod. I’m waiting to see if Apple change anything regarding the HomePod and buying a MacBook at tax time.
I already have both, as well as 2 iPads, Apple Watch and AirPods. So as much as I’m admiring the galaxy note 10+ I have to stay inside the garden.

Literally, just unboxed and am typing this reply on my first MacBook (2017 i5/256/8) ever... YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! I've got a lot to learn, but so far it's everything I was hoping for and more.

Waiting for the next iteration of Home Pod, too high as is for my taste.
Yep. Once you’ve had a MacBook you’ll never want to deal with windows again.

Great write up, you seem to be really enjoying your iPhone experience.

Can’t believe you got an Apple Watch , that’s the point of no return.

Haha, yeah, doubt I’ll be leaving the Apple ecosystem anytime soon at this point

Case looks good, shame about the gaping gap / cut out at the bottom. They make a generic one of that with same materials minus the cut out. View attachment 854753

I like the cut out , it’s part of the reason I got the case, but yeah, I get what you are saying.

That is an awesome case you have the BTW!

You're getting locked in now. All you need is an Apple TV and a homepod.

Haha! Yeah, at my old company we had Apple TV, and it was great, I have considered it, but not yet tempted to get it.

Well thanks a lot! Kept following this stupid thread and ended up buying an xs max today!

Was hard to say no. Corporate deal with Telus, $0 down, $15 a month for 24 months. $340 due at the end or give it back to trade for another. For Canada that’s an awesome deal

Haha, congratulations and welcome

I still have my 2012 15" retina MacBook Pro running Mojave, and it's as responsive and smooth as the day that I got it. It's a wonderful machine. Glad you're loving your new MacBook. :)

It happens. Some call it a prison but it’s more like a five star resort . Probably why most don’t want to leave.

Congrats, How do you like it so far?

That’s a great deal, btw.

Congrats as well, you seem to be enjoying the apple ecosystem. Your going to love iCloud based cut and paste and airdrop between your phone and your computer.

So, what color did you get?

Yeah, I've volunteered to happily stay in the safety of the Apple walled garden.

Same with my 2014 MBA. I’ve never had a windows computer last more than 2 years.

Went with the tried and true space grey. Gave me a cheap clear case for $5 while I wait for my UAG plasma ash case to arrive for it. Also ordered the Spigen screen protector

Normally I order it all in advance before the phone gets here but it was a spur of a moment thing. Contract was coming up with Rogers and I decided to check out my corporate Telus deals and they blew away anything Rogers was offering and an awesome deal on the xs max. Drove right over to my TELUS store and was out of there with my number ported over from Rogers on 20 minutes

Loving this thing so far, super smooth, speakers are nicer, more depth to them and love the screen and watching hdr/ Dolby vision videos. Overall a great upgrade so far! Haven’t even played with the camera yet

Only thing I’m not sure I’ll use is the True Tone this time, quite a bit more yellow than my 8 plus. My 8 plus with True Tone on is closer to this with it turned of

I’m excited and can’t wait to get a MacBook. I’m upset that I dropped $600 on a windows computer that I don’t use, 2 months ago. I guess my kids will have a new laptop. I have a 2017 10.5 iPad Pro, that I haven’t used since I started working at the Post Office. I love my S4 Apple Watch and won’t upgrade that until next year.

What was the logic when you purchased the pc!? I REFUSE to own both a MacBook and iPad.

MacBook for home and serious task. iPhone while on the go. If I need both in either situation, I'll happily adapt.

So far one thing that has surprised me is the battery life. It’s been awesome, wasn’t expecting that coming from my 8 plus but that battery has taken a beating over the last couple years lol

My daughter needed it for school and my old pc was going on 10 years old and extremely slow. This was before I shown any interest in a MacBook. I also thought I would be using the pc more, but nope. I use it once or twice a month. The iPad Pro was used for my previous job.
