I just returned my Incase Slider to the Apple store today because the matte finish was starting to peel off on it, especially on the corners. I had only had it about two weeks. Has anybody else seen this happen?

Thinking about getting the iFrogz Luxe, but they did not have it in the Apple store. Would rather buy in person, to check it out.

AT&T stores carry the luxe.

The pictures on page 2 of this thread are of the ebay knockoff. I don't have the real deal for comparison but the fake is fantastic, IMO.

On the fakes ones there isn't any felt lining on the inside of the bottom piece, right?

Yeah, here's the red..

Not bad for $3. :)

I found them on ebay if anyone's interested. More color choices!

How's the fit on this?

Fits really well. The cutout for the camera is slightly off-center, but not enough so that it blocks the lens or anything.

Oh, sorry psywzrd... I didn't read your question closely enough. You're right, there is no felt on the bottom piece. Just the top. So far no scratches from taking it on and off though.

How'd you guys set the film so it won't catch with the Luxe? I have the SGP and it shows at the bottom some bubble :(

Mine did that too, it caught the film and pushed it up on the corners. I pressed down the corners with my thumbs while at the same time sliding the case on, and that worked. However, when I remove the case, the corners look a little depressed. They eventually went back to normal though. I guess it's just super tight on the corners with the film.

So yours didn't have that bubble thing? I did the same thing as you said but still I've got 2 small bubbles on the lower part. Highly visible because it's in contrast with the black background.

See if you can find a slim card (I used my Blockbuster card) and slide it between the case and the screen. I was able to push out the bubbles with this method.

Didn't work, even borrowed my friend's Blockbuster card. I think it's how the case is positioned against the lower part of the iPhone. I don't want to trim my screen protector - might even screw it more on alignment. I even re-applied my SGP film, moving it upwards, in a very timely but precise position still the Luxe case causes it to bubble. Appreciate all of your help guys. I guess I have to settle with 2 bubbles :(

Nope, I managed to get them down once I noticed them by re-applying the case. Do you have the kind of film that's static cling? Maybe that's why. Mine is bodyguardz and it holds on for dear life, so maybe it's easier to keep it from bubbling. Still, that's frustrating... there's gotta be a way to keep that from creating bubbles..

Yes I have a static cling film, to be precise it's the Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint screen protector for the iPhone 3G/3GS. I think you're right, because it's a static cling, any force applied at the very edge causes it to get raised somewhat and cause a bubble. Sad part is I have a bigger bubble than the OP's pictures on the first page :(

Buy.com

As long as you're not in a rush to get it, go ahead and order it from Buy. I ordered mine a week ago and it still hasn't shipped.

I did just get the shipping notice myself. Via Fedex apparently with a tracking number. But it's coming from Los Angeles and I'm in NY. So latter part of next week it says.

Wondering if the $3 ebay iRibbit version will beat it or not on arrival. Nothing on shipping from those guys yet ordered days later.

Today I stopped in at Radio Shack to see the Seidio Innocase II. Nice case. Got to touch and feel it and tried it but on the bottom it lifted up my Steinheil anti-fingerprint. It's the wrong size so I didn't care to play with it as the correct one is coming in the mail.

Nice case. But for $30 it seems really overpriced. A little scouting around and you have lots of other good choices.

I have one cozip in black ($6 shipped via Amazon prime) and another in blue I like better for $10. There's the iFrogz in blue coming for $12 and then the red iRibbit ebay version for $3.

All those cases for just one Seidio Innocase II? In the words of Penelope Cruz, "Aye dun thin so." :D

I have an Innocase as well. I like it but I'm sick of it and hate the logo cutout on the back. I'm a bit worried about the Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint now too - it seems they are more prone to bubbling than the PS Anti-Glare I've been using (although my Incase Slider is causing my PS to bubble in the corner too). I'm hoping the ifrogz from Buy is better than the one I got off ebay too - the ebay one didn't quite close and it was almost impossible to remove.

bubbly

Well I did like the Seido case but it was funny because it was my first experience with the screen shield issue. In the store, the clerk wanted to help me with it right away but I said it's fine.

Steinheil is sending a replacement anti-fingerprint as they had sent the incorrect one for the 3GS. So we'll see how the iFrogz goes and the iRibbit ebay version.

Not sure why you have such strong feelings against the logo on the back. It really shouldn't be much of a problem. If it is a concern, you can take part of a screen shield and cover the logo and then put on the case. That's what I've done with the cozip case. I like the blue with the white Apple logo looking through.

As much as I like the Seidio case, there's no way I'm spending $30 right now. I'm just not doing it.

You're right that you can cover the logo with a screen shield, but to me the cutout is still just another way for dust to get into the case. If they would make the case without the cutout, it would be just about perfect. The only other negative thing I can say about the case is that it may have scratched my bezel. That could have been caused by dust though, so I can't definitively blame that on the Innocase. There are plenty of complaints about other cases causes scratches too though, so the Innocase isn't alone there.
