iPod touch Got my iPod Touch 4th today - At Costco

Evidently not (prices rounded off):

Costco: 8GB - $215 ..... 32GB - $280 ..... 64GB - ???

Walmart: 8GB - $224 ..... 32GB -- $289 .....64GB - ???

Thank you. Wal-Mart is cheaper than the Apple Store but do price them a little higher than Costco.

Anything wrong?

Has anyone bought a faulty iPod touch 4G from Costco and returned their product back to Costco or to Apple?

Costco Socal is in stock. Its the way to go since u get a year on top of the 1 yr warranty = 2yr warranty and return no hassle (6mo). Its better to buy from costco than amazon, even if it means paying 20$ extra.

That extra year warranty only applies if you use an AmEx credit card. Other payment options don't have that extra year. Also, the return policy is 90 days; not 6 months.

Btw... I read the guide and I can ensure you that it is the best possible way of jailbreaking an 1.1.4 ipod touch...
and the thing with voiding your warranty... well it is true you do that, but if you restore your ipod before sending it to apple they won't know that you jailbroke as far as I know..

Costco Canada Prices same as Apple Canada?

Can anyone confirm? I called today my local Costco and she quoted me the price for the 32 GB touch @ $317.99. Apple.ca has it for $319.99, not $20 cheaper as in the USA.

Really? Huh, glad I didn't buy apple care now. How does it work if it breaks after the manufacturer's warranty? Do I just call amex?

Most gold and higher credit cards double the manufacturer's warranty up to one additional year.

And yes, you deal with AmEx. I've done it with Visa on several occasions.

I've used the amex warranty. Just keep your paperwork - Apple's warranty statement and your charge receipt. If you need service during the 2nd year, submit those 2 documents along with a repair estimate or receipt directly to amex, they will reimburse you for the repair. Just call amex and they will step you through the process.

I just returned my 4g 32gb to Costco because the screen was coming loose. The bad thing is they ran out of the 32gb so I have no ipod touch at the moment :(
