I think their's going to be a lot of returned "rose gold" 6s's. Good, perhaps my wife won't have to wait to long to get hers.

Had they made it just like actual rose gold, it would be to close to their own gold colour. Figures it would be more pink and less gold.

That's it. I'm marching off to the Apple store to look at the pink sports watch and the dock. Not to buy....I have no interest in the watch. Never wear one and have no idea why you would need one when you have a phone. But it will prepare me for what's in the post next Friday!

I´ve been rocking the pink iPhone 5c for about 2 years now and I'm a straight guy, 6.2", 220lb..
Pink is awesome, stop being color phobic

Indeed, pink IS awesome.

My current phone, the Moto X 2013 is even way more pink than the iPhone 5c.

You want pink as ****? THIS phone is pink as ****:

(except mine has blue metallic accents instead of yellow)

Love that screaming pink.

that's fine.

you have your opinion and others have theirs.

pink on an electronic, to me, is feminine.

This thread is getting me excited for all the release day drama about pink vs copper. My theory is that we still won't know even after its released. People have different eyes and different conditions and this phone will look slightly different to everyone.

The dress is white and gold!!!

Color. Has. No. Gender.

Any association you make with color and gender is unfounded, completely irrelevant, and narrow-minded. It reeks of shallow insecurity, deeply ingrained fear of what others think of you, and desperate need for other's approval.

Grow up. It's 2015, not 1950.

305 posts, and it's still an ongoing war. You'd might as well save your breath. Some of us just can't wrap our heads that color "genderization" is purely arbitrary and subjective. They'll never get it.

It's revealing that those guys who have no interest in the rose gold iPhone and think it's only for girls still take the time to participate in the thread to inject their point of view. It's almost like they wished they had ordered it, but since they didn't, they might as well try to convince everyone else that they shouldn't have ordered it either. Or that those guys who ordered it have made a mistake.

Well it's not working. The more I see of it, the more I'm excited about getting it. And there's nothing you can say to convince me otherwise.

But hey, continue spending time reading and posting in a thread about rose gold iPhones that you have no interest in. Just keep the judging to yourself please.

This. Everything this.

They're just the kind of people that have to put other people down to feel good about themselves, and calling something girly and feminine is an insult to them. It's sad, really.

I rest. My case. Literally. If you don't see that the case -- and the phone -- are pink, then we are at an impasse. I literally cannot help you. You should also get your eyes checked. Just sayin'.

You think you're excited? Imagine if you were in my position:

Like most of us waiting for the iPhone, I've had a serious itch to buy a new tech toy for a while. After ordering my iPhone, I still wasn't satisfied, so last Tuesday, I bought a rose gold Apple Watch Sport. The watch was scheduled to be delivered this coming Wednesday, but instead it was delivered two days ago.

So now, because I don't have an iPhone yet to set up my watch, all I get to do is stare at my watch while I wait for my iPhone to be delivered.

I appreciate what you are saying here and can see your heart's in the right place but it's not so absolute. Pink is predominately marketed towards girls. Walk into a Toys R us and you immediately know weather or not you're in the girl's or boys section from colours they use. Walk into a kid's clothing store and it's the same thing. This is the type of gender / colour conditioning we grow up with in modern day western culture. Weather it's politically correct or not, most would see that hot pink/ "rose gold" pink phone on the table and assume it belongs to a girl.
Now if you're a guy and ordered the rose gold, cool! You will either like it or return in favour for an other variation. Me, I ordered the space grey because I think a white bezel around the screen is completely racist. :p

It's not just sad. It's misogynistic.
And a shade aggressive, if not also bordering on creepy and rife with hate/disgust. It also is highly suggestive that to be feminine, or anything even remotely bearing resemblance to femininity, is inherently inferior and lesser, undesirable.

There's a reason why women are free to wear pants and dress and act like "men" without much concern from society, and men who dare dress like "women" are assaulted, bullied, insulted, made fun of, and spit upon: to be a man is to be superior, to be woman is inferior. The chromaphobic posts in this thread (and this entire forum) are an indigtment of our culture and the socially accepted misogyny we cling to.

I just saw one at Starbucks today. It's definitely Pink, while not my favorite color, if I like Pink this would be the one I would choose. Apple did a great job. They only need to change the description, as it's very misleading and certainly not Rose Gold.

Yet in fairness you cannot duplicate Rose Gold if it's not Rose Gold...duh. True Rose Gold is very expensive, not something that iPhones are made out of. So the whole thing is a bit of a ruse.

I have an authentic Rose Gold Zenith Chronograph that is the correct color.
Here's a link so you can see what Rose Gold is supposed to be.

Thread review:

1) it's pink!
2) no it's not!
3) it's sort of pink but manly pink
4) it's the same color as the dock
5) no it's not!
6) it depends on the lighting
7) your pictures are wrong
8) the lighting is accurate
9) no it's not!
10) it's the same shade as Apple watch
11) no it's not! It's pinker!
12) it was pink on the late show!
13) no it wasn't!
14) repeat steps 1-13

This is great. Lol. You can add It depends if your display is cooler or warmer.

You guys gotta stop doing this. It's really offensive; I don't think it's meant that way but it really is.
First of all, I'm not a guy. Says so in my signature. Second of all, my first language is sarcasm. The #alllivesmatter hashtag was a violent affront to and dismissal of the #blacklivesmatter initiative and cause. It served only to dismiss the very-real pain, suffering, and plight of black people in this country by making it about white people under the guise that "all" lives mattered.
In case you couldn't pick up on the subtlety, I was making fun of the victimizer. Not the victims.

Not really, not anymore.
The world has changed, toys and clothes are less and less marketed at a specific gender these days.
