I think iPad Air 3 will include rose gold and live photos come March 2016.

They'd be stupid not to! I have always said if companies made things in pink, people would buy them. Like cars, electronics, household items, anything really. Pink is a great color and should be represented in more products. Just my $0.02

I agree, my only complaint is I wish we could have black front with some of these colours.

I have been using a Gold 6+ this year and I have gone back to Space Grey for the 6S+ as I really don't like the white front which is a shame as I really like the Gold.

Some people just don't like pink (I'm one of them, I was interested in the rose gold phone until it turned out to be pink), but rejecting pink because of perceived "femininity" is just perpetuating crap. Until the early 20th century, pink was for boys and blue was for girls. Pink is energetic and vibrant, so naturally it is masculine, while blue is soothing and sedate and naturally feminine, right? Also crap. Colors don't have innate gender. And to say that, "well that doesn't matter, that's what our society says" means that you're not interested in seeing any of that crap ever change.

It's funny to me. My favorite shirt color is actually lavender. Big fan of navy suits and a lavender tie or shirt. At first I was like meh maybe this is too pink for me, but the color has grown on me and now I'm thinking of whether I should get the saddle brown or midnight blue leather case for this phone.

To the people who are saying pink is not feminine, good luck convincing your spouse that your new born son needs an all pink room.

I think this thread is proof of how sensitive society is these days. If you don't have a neutral opinion on something then you are attacked. What happened to freedom of speech and not being attacked for your opinion?

Rose gold is not achievable without, you know, gold (and copper). Whatever this iPhone color is, is not rose gold.

This is rose gold:

Well, people were happily expressing their opinion yay, pink, or oh, no, pink just happily with no problems until the "your junk will fall off" and "lose your man card" crowd started the sneers.

Neutral opinion? That's fine. Think the phone is girly? Also fine, I don't have a prob with anyone thinking that. Writing a whiny comment just to make fun of people (as you did)? Not sure I'd call that a neutral opinion. I wasn't bothered by it, nor would I paint my son's room pink, but you're right, some are sensitive.

It reminds me of every time I see a progressive article posted in social media and I see thousands upon thousands of comments spreading hate and fear.

Don't confuse vocal hatred and pushing of agendas with a 'neutral opinion.' Very few in this world have a neutral opinion of anything. If everyone did, we'd be a lot more peaceful.

I'm still curious as to why people think pink is feminine in one application and cool/trendy/not feminine in another.

20 years ago, if a dude wore a pink shirt people would make fun of him and most men would say it was feminine. Now society, pushed by popular culture, says it's ok and guys all over love and embrace pink clothing.

As a society, we are sheep.

I went to Regent St store to look at the dock but they have none on display to see. The staff member I asked spent all of 2 seconds answering me. She just said you can't see without buying! Rude!
So looked at the watch and it is not just pink. It is baby pink. I am disgusted at Apple misleading customers and claiming it is rose gold. I am so disappointed.

Which begs the question: Is there something I'm missing that the color of any phone is covered by a non-transparent case? That the only phone color showing is around the home button? What difference then does it make what color the phone is?

I'm not sure how you feel misled when they posted HD marketing photos showing a pinkish color all over their website a week before pre-orders opened. Clearly you knew it wasn't going to look like actual rose gold. The phone is aluminum.

They can name it whatever they want but at least they're not misleading anyone by the marketing pics. If you can't see that most of the marketing pics are clearly on the pink side, I guess you can't be helped.

It's subtle for me. I'm not really the type to show it off. It'll be noticed through the camera hole, open case bottom, and home ring.

Thinks thread has gone too far.
Posts in said thread to bump it and keep it active.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Mary.

I'm surprised that anyone with any knowledge of mythology would think you were a man. Siren?

I'm busy lashing myself to the mast of my ship as I type this! :D

1: never having kids, I'll stick with fur babies thankyouverymuch

2: if I had a spouse whose fear of pink was so crippling that he wouldn't dare allow his infant son to be exposed to it (lemme guess, you probably think playing with barbies makes boys gay, too?), I wouldn't be having his baby, let alone be his spouse. Nothing attractive about a bigot.

Quite true, though I tend to believe there are times where something is steered so hard to an inconceivable opinion, it's hard not to fire back with equal conjecture. Yeah, being the bigger person is just walking away. I won't admit that in a few instances a few of us, including myself, couldn't do that. Then again, that almost seems to be forum life. This is no different than any of the auto forums I've been on.

BTW, we've lost function in this post long ago. It's pretty much a flame war with every "anti-pinkie". Then again, that might have been the point of it. :p

Writing a whiny comment just to make fun of people (as you did)?

sorry, which comment was whiny?

you're being overly sensitive, as are a few others in this thread. that's the problem with this world today, you can't criticize people or have your own opinion or else you're being negative.

it reminds me of one of the biggest stories of the year.. caitlyn jenner.

don't like transgender people? you're an idiot. piece of ****. have an open mind, etc etc etc.

I put my hand on fire that the iPhone color will be the same that the apple watch, the same hue, the same saturation, the same intensity....

The more i see the rose gold color, the more i like it!!!

I don't understand all the polemic about this color, you like it or not. If a color is for women or men is a crap, choose what you like in your life, if you're always thinking about what people opine about you you are gonna be unhappy.

Most of us live in free countries, Spain, USA etc... people are free even to get married with someone of the same gender, we are free to live and free to chose

Apple should fire all their marketing photographers and airbrushers. The Gold option looks gold on their website and in their press photos, but it's more of a muted, burnt yellow in real life! And the space gray looks nothing like the night sky in person!
