This. Blush is very "in" right now for fall. It's the color of a lot of faux fur vests, clothes, accent pieces, etc. Rose gold is also very hot this season, but alas, this phone is not rose gold in any way, shape or form. It's metallic pink. The watch is blush. The same way the gold iphone is not gold, it's champagne.

Did no one else get that survey last year? I took the apple survey last year after getting my gold iPhone 6+ and it was a very lengthy survey. In that survey were several loaded questions that were worded in many different ways but all very...transparent. Questions like:

"Is there any other color you'd like to see in an apple product lineup?"

"Would you be interested in an iPhone if it came in pink?"

"Are you satisfied with the current color options Apple offers for products?"

Etc. I knew then that they must be really looking for feedback to conclusively determine whether or not there was sufficient demand for a pink iPhone. Whether it be to appeal to a more youthful audience or their female customers (not saying in any way that color has gender; it does not), a pink iPhone was clearly something they've carefully considered adding to their roster. And I say it's about ****ing time. I've been asking for a pink iPhone for years. Now if they would just make a black bezel + gold iPhone, I'd be done!

Thanks for the info. So the rose good watch is a different shade then the phone? That's odd you think they would have used the same paint.

I'd agree with you. However, it's definitely not copper like what you see on the rose gold Edition.

I love the color of the rose gold edition watch. Did anyone order the 6s rose gold or did everyone go with the 6 plus?

From videos I've seen, the iphone dock and watch sport are the exact same rose gold aluminum. So you can bet the rose gold iPhone will be the same. The only one different is the Apple Watch Edition, for obvious reasons.

This is what I'm anticipating....a subtle coppery peach color, not a metallic bubblegum like some pictures are showing. Fingers crossed.

Yes, that's what people should expect to see. A pinkish copper color. Those who are expecting a true copper color as seen on the rose gold Edition will be disappointed. All the photos that appear to show a true copper color have been those with incorrect white balance, such as the photo below of the rose gold aluminum AW with lavender sport band. The strongest indication that the white balance is off in that photo is we know lavender isn't supposed to look white.

My friend has the 38mm Rose Gold Apple Watch Sport. It is not as pink as the leaked photo of the iPhone 6s/6s +. The hue of the Rose Gold on the watch is really pretty, it is definitely not pinkish at all. I am hoping the Rose Gold on the iPhone will be similar to the color of the Apple Watch. Fingers crossed. Have to try to sell my silver Apple Watch so I can switch mine to the Rose Gold...LOL

This may be the 42mm rose gold aluminum sport with the white band/off white band. The 38mm rose gold aluminum comes in the lavender.

Would you say that the photo below is an accurate representation of the rose gold aluminum?

Still look slightly more pinkish than the real thing. Don't know how to explain it but the actual Rose Gold on the watch has a slightly more copperish tone to it. All I can say is that it looks awesome in real life. The picture on the order page for the Rose Gold is pretty bang on with the color tone.

Yet all the photos of the rose gold dock make it look pink, in contrast to above. Either Apple isn't being consistent in using the same hue in the renders or the rose gold aluminum AW isn't exactly the same hue as the rose gold iPhone.

Probably just light reflecting differently off a flat (dock) vs curved surface.

I got the rose gold dock today. I dunno I think it's more of a copper with a hint of pink. It's pink but not like annoyingly pink. It's a beautiful copper pink.

View attachment 581776 Love the color. Exactly what I was hoping for: pink, not copper. Super excited for the phone now View attachment 581770 View attachment 581771

Edited to add: comparison photos with iPhone 6+ in gold and old Motorola pink mini RAZR. Photo taken with iPad air 2 camera. View attachment 581986

That's a good explanation. There are a few members who are convinced that the rose gold aluminum AW isn't the same hue as the rose gold iPhone, but this seems unlikely to be the case. More likely, it's just the difference in how the light is reflected, as you pointed out. Under some conditions, the rose gold aluminum AW can look more pink like below:

That is definitely the 42mm rose gold with white band.

This color in this picture is inaccurate. The rose gold sport doesn't come with a white band...only lavender or a darker stone gray. This appears to be in an Apple store or Apple event, so im going to assume it's one of those 2 official configurations. Considering how washed out the band looks, it's probably off.

The stone band is what people are referring to as white band, but you're right. That photo was likely exposed to too much light causing the stone band to appear whiter and the rose gold pinker. Under natural lighting, it should look pinkish copper like the render.

I'm just hoping I like it haha. I don't want a bright pink phone, I'm expecting more of a salmon orangy-pink. I don't know how multiple people that have seen the color in person have such dramatically different descriptions. I don't know why I haven't gone to the Apple store yet, maybe I'm nervous.
