Some people can't see the difference in screen frame rate, having said that the difference is not as noticeable on iPhones compared to bigger screens. Also, iPhones are already smooth af.

I don’t think it makes a huge difference on a phone. It you saw the YouTube comparisons of an older iPhone and the new one side by side you couldn’t really tell a difference.
Would you though? The YouTube video is likely 30 to 60 FPS. Even if the video was 120FPS. I’d expect simply recording it, compression and such. Would add impurities. Making it difficult to tell the difference.

Seems more like something you need to see in person. Side by side. Even then it’s not going to be huge. Just a little smoother.

My iPhone 13 pro max screen is definitely brighter than my 12 pro max side by side, are you sure yours isn’t faulty?
I’m getting mine today but in the apple store it was a lot darker maybe the demo mode isn’t as bright

I have just got a 13 Pro, I am like the original poster, I don't see a great deal of difference. That said, scrolling on an iPhone (I had a iPhone 11 Pro Max previously) has always been very smooth and the 13 Pro is silky smooth, perhaps I would be able to tell side by side, but it's certainly not worrying me, it's a lovely phone. The screen is definitely brighter, I will be honest, the notch never bothered me on my 11 and doesn't bother me on my new phone. Just for info, the phones I had before the 11 were all Samsung Galaxy's which were fabulous, but, I'n not going to swap back atm.

All in all, I'm really chuffed with my 13Pro.

Lolllllll. You will not be able to tell the different watching a 60hz video on youtube. 120hz can only be experience having the device in person. Have been using 120hz screen for years. To me is the only reason why i upgraded from 12 pro to 13 pro.

I'll never know the difference of an iPhone at 60 vs 120 because this will be my first. I'll be comparing to my Samsung Note 10+ which is 60hz. But I think the biggest advantage is the ADAPTIVE refresh. 10-120. If you are on a static screen for some time reading, it can save battery big time by lowering way down in refresh, and instantly pop up when you scroll or flip to new page. (reading app?)

So yeah, even if you have a hard time noticing that brilliant fast refresh rate, the behind the scenes manipulation to save power is huge.

Just came back from the store after checking out the 13 models, as I am in the market for a Mini. It was immediately noticeable on the Pro models, and such an improved experience that if i knew for sure it would arrive in the mini next year, then I would wait with buying a new model.
