Try another representative, the promotion doesn't have anything to do with going over data or anything like that.My message from online chat . . . . .
"Kierre: okay so i did lok through the account, currently it isnt offered for this account, the extra GB was mainly for our customers that continually go over in data"

As I said, try another representative. Being confrontational with them won't get results in most cases, simply explain what you are talking about and if they are still not seeing it, try another representative. Ultimately, if a few tell you the same kind of thing as far as it not being available for your account, then it just might be the case, as not all of the promotions apply to all of the plans/accounts.Kierre: okay so i did lok through the account, currently it isnt offered for this account, the extra GB was mainly for our customers that continually go over in data
Keith: I'm about to go over this month
Keith: i need the extra gb so I don't go over
Keith: why is this only offered for some and not all?
Kierre: we can give you two GB for the price of one it will only be 10 dollars more and its for the customers that have been with us for 5 years or more
Keith: 2GB more is the 8GB plan which is only $10 more
Keith: why are you lying to me?
Keith: i want to talk to your suspervisor or manager, this is unacceptable
Kierre: right, i didnt mean to mislead you, thats what i meant when i said that we can give you 2 GB for the price of one which is $10, when we give you extra GB like that we are just movig the plan up extra GB, i was going to move you up to the 8 GB for $10 more and then backdate it so you wont be going over and what i meant about the extra GB was for our customers that have been with us for 5 or more years, sorry, i didnt punctuate correctly and identify what i was referring the "customer have been with us for 5 or more years" bit too
Yeah, representative roulette. Even that one didn't quite get it right as it shouldn't require a contact extension or anything like that.Different story every time . . . .
Ebony: Okay, I see. Yes, I am update I GB of extra data on your account. It does require a 12 month extension. You just taught me something today! Thanks
Verizon is great because it gives me great coverage in places I never plan on going.
Just wanted to let everyone I also did it just right now for my friend on chat they added it for him.
He now has 7GB total.
We switched him yesterday from NationWide he had 4GB single plan he kept on doing overages he has 2 lines.
So now they have much more and some extra data.
Wow. I haven't heard of anyone on a Verizon NationWide plan in years. Must have been like my family, long time customers of VZW.
Anyone recall PacTel Wireless?

Actually I had the same plans before I switched to share everything.
All my lines which had LTE phones could go from 2GB to 4GB for same price of 30$ , he still had that plan and his other line had 2GB because it was 4S.
Got it on my relatively new account. Asked about the promo and asked if I could get it for my account. The Rep thought it was part of the "More Everything" upgrade and that it didn't apply since I had a larger package. I offered to send them a screenshot where someone had the 12GB plan and got it. I believe mentioning the specific promo "1GB free for 12 months" helped her find it.
No changes to my account (extensions, etc). Looks like the only requirement is to have one of the "Share Everything" plans. I was also nowhere near my data limit when asking for it.
Moral of the story? Don't be a dick to the CSRs. The vast majority of them are open to helping you.
Verizon's customer service is worlds better than AT&T/Sprint (never used TMobile).
anyone else?![]()
Of course you can but make sure you change the plan online yourself and carry over the promo data some verizon rep deleted my promo data after switching my plan for me and it was a ***** to get back good luck !I was on the 1GB plan and got the 1GB promo, so now total 2GB.
Can I reduce my 1GB plan to the 500mb and still keep the free 1GB promo?
Thanks

How do you make sure that you carry over the promo data while decreasing the data plan online?
