People are going to complain not matter what. If you don't want any scratches on your phone then don't buy one. They are bound to happen from a simple fall to added cases.

Good point if we were talking about 'normal' wear and tear or damage from dropping a phone. Instead were talking about simply placing a case on a phone and instantly seeing deterioration....from again, a $60 case. Not quite the same, my friend.

Or putting a case in your pocket for two days and watching it go about 10-20% darker from discoloration.

Really disappointed to read/see the scratching and discoloration. For the price, I expected more.

Cancelling my order. :(

first of all the case is a good case....put it on and take it off and I see a scratch from the latch. No big deal...Good protection, fells good, and etc....but...but....really??? you brag about the time spent on design and you forget the most elementary thought process of designing a case??? will the case fit a generally speaking an after market cigarette charger? will it fit a popular headsets besides OEM????? really/???

It's frustrating....I really have to modify the plugs and so forth so I can use the case??

sorry for ranting, but hoping that the developer of the case will read these forums and make modification for future buyers.

BTW...I am using a griffin charger and Boss IE2 headset...

discoloration is an entirely separate issue and one that is a problem.

I'll be getting my white with matte latch today and the discoloration scares me. I am very clean and careful but seems like there is no way to keep the case looking new and just as white out of the box. I too will send it back and ask for a refund or for a black version if this happens. Also I have a full slickwraps skin around the antenna band only, will I have to take this off to get the case to fit?

Just received mine. White with matte latch. Straight out of the box already notice some dark spots on the white frame. Couldn't seem to get them out but didn't try any solution other than water. Also mine seems to be loose on the latch side when closed. Like I can hear squeeking and feel a little give when pushing on the sides. It does not feel really tight. Anyone else experience this?

I removed my "scratch"

My "scratch" was easly removed with a tiny bit of metal polish applied with my fingertip and buffing with a cotton cloth. Went away with no trace what so ever!...Prefect again!....

I use tape on the underside of the case at the square hole where the latch catches...problem solved no harm done what so ever!:D

Stand by my earlier syatment "Closest to a perfect case I've ever owned"....

So i love love the white/matte on my white 4s but can definitely foresee discoloration... Will report back what a few days does to the case.

I can't speak for the white case, but I'm shocked about how many people are disappointed. I love this case (black / matte). I don't mind one tiny scratch in the metal antenna (which I haven't even looked to see if I have). The case feels solid, is sexy as all hell (my girlfriend liked the case), and protects the phone. The minor gripes are the access to the volume buttons (really not that much harder) and the headphone jack. Mine still works with most headphone jacks. Not a big deal. You can't make a case and expect it to work with every accessory designed to work with iphones OUT OF THE CASE.

Way to go Graft. Love the case!

Edit: As far as the white discoloration...yes that is an issue.

No one is experiencing the wiggle room on the right side of the case? It feels loose and not tight. Maybe I should remove my slick wraps and it will feel tighter even though I would think that would make it even looser.

Was looking into purchasing this case in white but the discoloration is a deal breaker for me. I had the white bumper and it would discolor quickly when in jeans pocket. Also I hate using an adapter so that my aftermarket plug can fit. oh well the search goes on...

What type brand of metal polish did you use? And it actually buffed it back to a matte finish like the rest of the iPhone band??

Picture?

I'm back to naked now and waiting on my white spectra wrap and white carbon fiber back.

Hopefully Graft Concepts gets back to me soon on exchanging my discolored white for a black Leverage, and hopefully that works over a spectra wrap!

I used just the tiniest drop of "Worlds Easiest Metal Polish by Satin Gloss". I stress the tinest drop because I'm trying not to use excess product to get all over my phone. Rubbed it gently with my finger and not a cloth. It turns black and I buffed with a cotton scrap from a old 'soft' pajama materal. This completely removed any sign of a mark. The area don't look any different than the rest of the antenna....This polish has a very fine grit in it...barely detectable on your finger and I was very careful not to over rub it, which is why I used my finger and not a cloth.
Although I can not guarentee it I'm thinking most any liquid/paste metal polish would do the trick. :)

well, heres a super brief review. I will focus on things either not talked about, or rarely talked about, and the downsides. First of all, the quality of the case is good, not GREAT.

Some things i've noticed: the latch is not flush (the side that says graft). The metal latch sits a bit taller than the plastic bumper. with the phone not in the case, it does sit flush, but with the phone in the case, it does not.

Also, there is a tiny pin holding in the lever on the right side of the case (again on the GRAFT side) that sticks out the smallest bit, and does get caught on my jeans sometimes (which is weird because it only sticks out so slightly but i've noticed it already a couple times getting caught).

I put a sticker on the top so it does not scratch

I have a powersupport crystal front and back. Unless they are applied perfectly, the case might cause it to bubble on the sides. In fact, for the back, if you install the back plate, it causes it to bubble a LOT (for me it did). This happened to my iphone and my gf's iphone (who's rear protector is on perfectly)

Because of this bubbling, I decided to not use the rear plate. However in doing so, the bumper is now a bit loose on the sides. With the rear plate on, the bumper would not "jiggle" or move at all, but without the plate, i can actually pull it almost 1/2 a cm or so to the point where i can see gaps.

Overall i'd rate this case an 8 in quality, but due to the price i expected more. And to be honest, the fact that i switch cases once in a while, I cannot remove the rear PS crystal protector, which means I cannot use the rear plate, which means it does not feel as secure. This bothers me the most. I do not know why the rear plate causes bubbling, and it is NOT because I installed the PS or the rear plate incorrectly. I think (maybe, just my theory) is that the plate is every so slightly too big, causing the edge of the PS rear protector to "wave" and thus bubble

Hey guys with white Graft cases... check the edges of your bumper, does it look like it's chipping/cracking? I've only had this about 25 hours now and I'm noticing this... It's very slight so I think it'll be ok...

No but I just received mine. I do have a few black marks on two corners though, noticed them immediately so it came that way. So far I'm disappointed with the case. I already purchased the black version today and will send back the white one. They say they will refund the money within 15 days but cannot do a straight up exchange. I do need to pay for shipping it back to them though and it needs to be insured and also with a tracking number. I don't like the feel of it. I think it should be more snug on the sides. And the fact that it came out of the box with some black stains already on it are unsatisfactory. Hopefully I have a better experience with the black one.

Pics

Definitely like it.

Well, I tried couple different tapes, both very, very thin. But what I notice is that it makes so hard to latch the case and then to open it up is so damn hard. There is no room in my case to fit even a fine tape. I was able to close it but man....

So, I decided to take the tape out, now I am able to open and close, still not as easy as the video on Graft site, but for sure easier than with the tape. I wonder with wear and tear down the road if it will get easier to open and close.
Anyway, I recommend the case big time because looks really good, but I would hope Graft take care of these issues on their next batch. I am wondering what they will say about these issues.

Just an update on my last post.
Today the case seems way more malleable, meaning easy to handle to open and close. I think once you open it from the box the case material is just too hard but it conforms to the phone after this "break-in" period. Now, I am able to add the tape to protect from the scuffs, but I already have a little mark on it, no big deal at least from now on should be OK, I hope:D.
The case looks good and everybody who sees it loves it. Graft did a great design job. Sure it's not 100% perfect and the latch leaving scuffs is a bummer. I have the matte/black one.

Mine arrived today. Pretty awesome. It's amazing how flimsy it feels until you close the clasp. Glad I ordered the black as I'm sad to hear the white is show a lot of dirt.
