Update

We'll I had mine black and matte since last week and been putting my phone between my jacket and jean or fade no chipping or any sort.

now I feel like I have to get a bumper for my Leverage...

The point of the case is to take the brunt and prevent your phone from being damaged, no? I know it sucks to have something like that happen to your brand new $60 case, but better than your brand new ~$700 iPhone, no?

After 10 days of carefully handling my white case, it's peeling on 2 of the 3 corners. So disappointing. Really liked this case.

I've sent their support an e-mail asking for remedy. I'm sitting this one out until they resolve their issues.

you must not have a sense of humor, no?

just snapped a pic of my graft to show the flaking/discoloration

not cool... less than a week. as you can see, the backplate is still perfect, but the bumper is whats suffering. if they use the same treatment on the bumper as they do on the backplate, i think it'll be fine...?

Just wanted to chime in. My white/chrome case looks like crap. It actually looks disgusting enough to not touch. Emailed Graft about it. Response:

We can send you a new case since it sounds like you got a defective one. *If you prefer to just get a refund, just follow the directions on the attached form. *We will process the refund as soon as the case is received.

Opted for a replacement. Response:

Would you like Black / Matte or Black / Chrome for your replacement unit? We can send it to you along with a pre-paid shipping label.

So it looks like they are removing the white version for now. Opted for the black/chrome as I think it looks great on a white 4s. Gotta say Im pretty happy with the cust. Service.

Which email address did you write to? I haven't been able to get a reply from them after two emails since last Thursday.

I decided to ask for a refund. My phone should be coming this week but I figured it just wasn't worth waiting given the problems reported here.

Customer service was outstanding. They replied within hours yesterday (Sunday) and sent me the refund form today. They even thanked me for my feedback about the case and pricing.

I wouldn't mind trying again when they fix the issues.

I think it's a bit concerning that they're still selling the black version knowing that it's going to scratch people's phones.

Sure you can say that about other cases BUT those scratches are caused by dirt getting into the case. In this situation their locking mechanism is metal and is directly causing the scratches. They should do the right thing, stop selling them and fix the problem before selling it again.

That's unfortunate that people are so quick to avoid the case...I don't think there is a perfect case out there, at least I haven't found one. I own 6 different cases now, and I think this one is my favorite despite the issues. Heck my other 5 cases have issues as well haha.

Actually, my white/pink Speck Candy Shell is the best case I have ever used, hands down! I think it is perfect! I was seriously considering one of these Leverage cases when the thread first started. Not going to happen now :)

I have to say when I tried the candy shell at apple today it felt so nice in your hand . Great protection and most importantly the buttons are easy to push and use. Considering how many people is using the button for their camera it's quite an important part of the case that 99% of the makers forget about.

I would say that my top three favorites are mophie juice pack air, vapor pro, and the speck. I might have to go pick one up soon :)

Wow, great to hear the customer service is top notch. Ive been on the fence, but once they fix all issues, i'll probably splurge and get one, cheers

According to this thread, yes. I've got a black one and have noticed no chipping.

I wish... the chipping is universal. The discoloration is only on the white one because it's just really noticeable.

It's graft concepts' use of material/finish that is the problem...

Have you noticed any scratches on the metal bezel from use of the Speck case? I liked the case but thought it might end up causing the same scratching reported with the Apple bumper.

crying shame :\

i was gonna pair it with my Trunket plates too. now I have to find a suitable bumper to work with these plates, otherwise I'm returning those too and have to start from scratch

My white/matte case actually makes my phone look old and ugly..

Case is discolored, back case is whiter while the bumper has a slight yellow (dirtier) look. The chipping away of the paint around the corners is getting extreme and spreading.. All this while I take extremely good care of the phone..

I have emailed their support/orders email twice since Saturday for returns, but haven't received any replies.

I just want to return this and get my money back. I doubt exchanging for the black will remedy these issues.

*Deep sigh*

:(

That case is a brick and adds unnecessary weight and bulk to the iPhone. I returned my speck because it barely fit into my pocket.

+1

I avoided the candy shell for that reason.

So far my case rankings -

1. Skech - for more protection
2. Graft - for the looks
3. Sena Slim wallet
4. Vapor Pro
5. Incase Slider
6. Apple bumper

Graft is still what I keep on on most days.

Can you post a link to the Skech case?

Just canceled my order...... I'll have to confirm tomorrow... Too much bad news...
same here. i canceled via email and received a confirmation shortly after. at very least, they have good response time!

small gripe, but i was quoted 2-4 weeks to ship, but the cancelation confirmation email said that I will be refunded my purchase soon. I wish they wouldn't charge me until the product shipped, but oh well.
