does anybody know if it is advisable to put the iphone 4 in a "Fresh" state of mind? I.E. restoring the iPhone so it is on a clean slate before jailbreaking it? Or am I good to go with the way it is just now?

Thanks

I'm at 4.0.1 JB'ed right now, shouldni restore clean then JB to 4.1 or is there anyway to upgrade or is it advisable to upgrade from a JB to a new JB firmware. Also, is there any program that saves everything in the state that it's in.

I guess 3GS users with the new bootrom are **** out of luck. ****.

EDIT: bootrom instead of bottom.

What about 3gs users with old bootrom and doing windows PC?

Is there a guide? or a way to download an already hacked IPSW?

Wondering this myself...

I think if by some odd chance that it's a tethered jailbreak then I'll pass. I'd rather have an iPhone on 4.0 that I can reboot without a computer than an iPhone on 4.1 that I have to tether every time I need to restart.
