The movie was based on a book written in 1967. Check the book out if you like the movie.
It's been forever since I've seen the movie or read the book. Both seemed great at the time.

I made my wife watch Megaforce with me. I should have kept it a personal guilty pleasure. The ending was so bad it was bad, though.

Ferris Bullers day off

The breakfast club.

Both from my youth. Both classics that arn't for everyone.

I thought this thread was about terrible movies... those were great because they were, well, great.

As for movies that are so bad they're enjoyable, I nominate any one of a number of monster flicks on the old Sci-Fi channel.

I love this movie and the sound track. I'm probably 1 of 10 people in the world who do. Lol

Maybe a little too on the nose...

I can't even count how many times I've watched The Room. I've seen it in theaters at least 4 times in the past year plus I have it downloaded.

Superstar (Molly Shannon & Will Ferrell), Mean Girls, and Ghost (Patrick Swayze) are also favorites.

I was going to put this one in the "What's the worst movie you've ever seen?" thread! :)

For this thread for me it is "The Chronicles Of Riddick." The first time I saw it I thought it was an incomprehensible mess. Now I watch it every time I see it listed.

Pretty much any Adam Sandler movie fits the "so terrible you enjoy watching it" mold.

I'm temped to put up Starship Troopers accept that I believe there was a concerted effort to make it corny to achieve a certain vibe. So honestly I've enjoyed watching this multiple times, outstanding visuals, while admitting that Casper Van Dien was hired specifically because of his attrocious acting skills. :D

I enjoyed that one. :)

Zoolander

Agreed!

Tend to agree.

With Paul Verhoeven at the helm, your probably right on! Paul Verhoeven's the one behind the first Robocop, in 1987, mixing science fiction, action and some over-the-top satire. (not to mention directing Arnie in Total Recall and Michael Douglas / Sharon Stone in Basic Instinct).

Verhoeven did the original RoboCop but he also did Showgirls. They pretty much cancel each other out.

He had a distinct signature. I liked the original Robocop and Total Recall too! :)
