They ought to make it in 12 and 14 inch models, wiht the 14 having basically the same screen as the Pro.

Kinda like how they're doing with the screen sizes of the iPhone Mini, iPhone, iPhone Pro, and iPhone Pro max.

Looks like there will not be a November event this November.

And did I mention I'm stoked that the bezels are not white as originally rumored.

27 inch iMac is rumored to reveal on Q1,2022. I guess there should be a March event.
They seem to release their computers every 6 months.
Nov 2020 - M1 Air, 13" MBP, M1 Mac mini
late April 2021 - M1 24" Imac, M1 Ipad
Late Oct 2021 - M Pro/Max 14"/16" MBP
So very late March into April for large iMac
More like the start of Q2 2022

I think Apples next spring event in 2022 will most likely be announcing the larger iMac and higher end Mac Mini.

Hopefully the new curious Macbook Air will also be unveiled too. As for Gurman, talk about stating the obvious!

We're on the verge of November. Of course there's not going to be any more big announcements this year from Apple. It isn't rocket science.

Well doesn't mean products don't show up. Apple revealed and updated some products WITHOUT events because they dont need to. They just updated specs.

I really think M1 MacBook Pro needs more upgrade in order to distinguish from M1 MBA. So far, it's just expensive than MBA and yet, no other differences. Removing M1 MacBook Pro will create a huge gap between MBA and 14 inch MBP.

Instead, it would be nice if M1 MacBook Pro get some upgrades
- 14/16 inch MBP design
- MiniLED with Promotion
- Up to 32gb of Unified memory, 16GB for MBA
- More ports
- Magsafe for faster charging
- More base storages

Otherwise, I dont see any reasons of buying M1 MBP.

There isn’t any reason to buy it now, it was a stopgap model using old design until new machines came out. Very much like the weaker mbp released in 2016 with no touchbar that became obsolete once macbook air was updated (and same one fan design as m1 mbp as well).

I’m personally disappointed there is no new mac mini, but my wallet is delighted it’s not going to take another hammering this year.

Gurman is such a joke… and I can’t believe anyone is still listening to what he says. Stop catering to these idiots - they never get it right anyway.

I don’t think that’s going to happen anymore. Jony Ive has departed. Expect no more thin designs. Everything will be shifted towards battery life, performance and efficiency.
Right! I mean how thin do you really need it to be. It’s not worth the crap battery life and poor thermal management. Hell our iPhone 13 pro screen dims when pushed due to thermal management. I’m like really? I can excuse my mini 12 when it happens but not on this phones that’s pushed 1.3k.

I’m excited for this. Will likely get a yellow one to match my iMac — although the off white bezels on the iMac are nice, I feel if there is a white notch it’ll stand out too much. I don’t mind the notch on iPhones or the new Pros, so hopefully they change it.

I sold my 2016 MBP and have been using my iPad in its place but I miss having macOS on the go.
I think the renders of the Air with off white bezels and camera bump look pretty sharp. Maybe seeing it in something other than black just looks more interesting.

No matter what, that new Air needs to come out before the start of the school year — either WWDC or another event in the summer.

Surely the gap depends on the strength of this upgrade for the MBA...

Just wondering when they'll bring back the MacBook. A MacBook Air without a MacBook is odd. In fact they should just do away with the Air nomenclature. It has become redundant. Same for the iPad line.

not interested unless there is a 16" version. why should i need to cough up £2,399 to get a 16" screen laptop?
