Lol - they don't have even remotely enough influence to do that.Feb 2026. Mark the date.
Heck even I have better prediction accuracy than Gurman, Presser and Kuo. They are just there to manipulate APPL Stock.

I highly disagree. And also, there was more than 1 SE so I fail to understand your point hereWhich implies that if there is little interest (like iPhone SE) the first version will be the only version.
Some of the R&D done for it can be used in other things Apple makes also, need to consider that.Even at $3500 a pop it's going to take a long time to get "Return On Investment" for this device.
Based on what do you make these claims? For a moment there there was a big spike in people reporting they'd return their device to the point where websites - including this one - write articles to warn people that their return window may be closing. What device have you ever seen that for?Sorry but you’re guessing wrong sir. Interest is surging
I’m guessing Apple has seen massive returns, and will see a steady decline in purchases with overall flat numbers going into the next 12-18 months. They will need to make a market adjustment to a more affordable device if they want mass adaptation. Otherwise this will be a niche product adored by a small % of Apple faithful and ultimately abandoned if they keep the same strategy.
really ? are we already writing articles about 2 ? 1 has a long way to go in terms of software updates.
I don't see this being abandoned. AR/VR has always had a small following. Apple isn't afraid to launch and maintain expensive products such as the Studio Pro Display, the Mac Pro, and others. The fact that Apple isn't dropping those two products despite them not being an every day consumer product i- to me at least - strong evidence that they're committed to AVP.I’m guessing Apple has seen massive returns, and will see a steady decline in purchases with overall flat numbers going into the next 12-18 months. I strongly believe we'll certainly see an AV in the future for more mainstream adoption. They will need to make a market adjustment to a more affordable device if they want mass adaptation.
I wonder how many of the folks joining these groups are there looking for ideas of what other useful things they might do with this device now that they’ve experienced the usual offerings floating in space, or how many are looking to see what problems folks have with the device. I’ve done the same thing from time to time, joining a group or subreddit to see what folks are doing with something, and to see what kinds of issues folks are having. I just don’t think the size of groups correlates to sales in any meaningful way.FB(lol) has some excellent AVP groups that talk about how wonderful the AVP experience has been for them. It seems interest is surging as some of the groups like Apple Vision Pro Official for one already has 30k members and has doubled in the past week alone. Really detailed reviews about how it’s now a huge part of their lives etc.
I think it will be up to Meta to make that device as I don’t see any AVP ever being cheaper than the highest end iPhone. To get the same results as AVP, Meta is going to have to spend on higher cost components. Or, Meta could just abandon the headset market and focus on porting all their software to AVP. Meta doesn’t make money on hardware.I think this is a very appropriate article. People are returning AVP, Apple wants to know why so they can make the next iteration better. Software updates will certainly help but if there's hardware reasons for the return then Apple can tweak AVP2 to meet the feedback.
I'd even wager these articles indirectly help Apple as they can gather other feedback from commenters.

Please see: XReal Air Pro 2. Please explain how they are “miles behind” and “way behind by 2-3 generations”. Imagine what XReal produces in 2-3 generations…The Vision Pro is way ahead of anything in the market by 2-3 generations.
The competitions are miles behind.
18 months if anything feels too soon.
Interest due to media attention most certainly is surging. But does that result in purchases? If the life cycle of an AVP is approximately 2 years, will there STILL be interest in 6 months to a year?Sorry but you’re guessing wrong sir. Interest is surging
Here’s what gen 2 will be: Better battery life, more improved EyeSight on front with wider screen for “eyes”, greater FOV. Will it be lighter? Maybe. BUT barely. Would Apple go from producing a product made from glass and aluminum to all plastic? No.Where do the pros go from here? The latest ones I have sound exactly the same as the first gen ones I had. ‘Better sound and better noice cancelling’ isn’t apparent at all. Yes there are new features though.
As for the Max, they will have to change the colours and/or design or how will people know you’re wearing the latest? Surely that’s all it’s about.

Impossible to make hardware changes that quickly, especially if it requires redesigned semiconductors, which is usually a several years long process between idea and product-at-market.I think there's going to be a major strategy shift on this device before then
Apple isn’t going to produce glasses. If that was the case, they would have already released them because other companies are producing compelling true AR products (XReal, Brilliant Labs, ASUS, etc.) TODAY. Apple will be producing the AVP formfactor (goggles) for YEARS to come. Apple won’t go from what the AVP is now to a set of glasses in a year or even two.So a stop-gap improvement in 2025, with redesign in 2027?
I wonder what that says about the glasses. Considering the other AR glasses on the market (or coming soon) Apple should be launching theirs soon. Summer 2024 is probably too soon and would hurt AVP app development, so I guess summer 2025? That would be a full year of app development before the v1 glasses come out.
Yes. I’m an idiot. ApologiesDid you mean to post to the AirPods thread?
Please show us some sales numbers with this answer.Sorry but you’re guessing wrong sir. Interest is surging
I’m not sure what I think about the only the wealthy are buying this. I’d be more inclined to say many people aren’t buying this with cash. I would be willing to bet people purchased this device and it’s more than they can “afford”. I bet apple absolutely knows that people will purchase who aren’t “wealthy”. Lots of irresponsible spending this day of consumerism.Do you honestly think Apple doesn't know who the target audience for this device is? Apple isn't delusional enough to think that everyone is going to run out and buy a $4000 VR headset. They are well aware that as of right now this is a niche device.
I swear some of you guys think you are always the smartest guys in the room when it comes to this stuff. Apple isn't stupid and knows they know they are taking a chance on this device and that as of now it's a product that only the wealthy or true enthusiasts are going to buy. They also know and account for a number of people who are going to buy the VP just to try it and return it. They account for all of this and nothing really comes as a surprise. Some of you though act like Apple says "Hey, let's release a $4000 VR Headset and everyone will rush out and buy it like the latest iPhone." They don't think that all.
