I don't think there will be that much. Apple, contrary to views by many on here is not immune to the supply chain issues and shortages every other company is facing. Other than iPads I can't see any new mac products being announced unless they can actually provide them which I doubt they can at this stage.

I’m assuming we’ll see maybe minor ipad and Apple Pencil updates, spring colors for cases, watch bands, etc, and maybe one other update to an existing product line.

And then maybe some info on upcoming shows or workout stuff.

What do we expect/hope to see at that event?

- iPad Pro with an A14x version of the M1
- spec bumps for other iPads
- AppleTags
- spec bumped AppleTV
- HomePod with screen
- iMac with smaller bezels and an M1 with some extra cores
- same for the MacBookPro with some old ports coming back

None of this really "innovative" as it all either existed elsewhere before or is just a mild upgrade.

"i, i" is pronounced "aiai" so any"i" product would be valid. They can't to for an hour about an iPads. iPad and entry level iMacs would fit that description.

When he mentions that we won’t see anything we haven’t seen from other companies before, AirTags could still apply as other trackers exist and some even incorporate UWB now too. I would say they’re still on the table for next week.

The analysts need to get off Apple’s back a little about the whole ‘innovative’ thing.

The iMac redesign was a necessary step in computing.

The iPod was a well designed version of a device that already exists.

The iPad and by extension the iPhone were skunkworks projects within Apple that were the culmination of almost a century of technology distilled into one device. This is the sort of thing that comes along once a generation. A read of ‘The One Device’ will tell you it was not a flux capacitor moment but a huge team effort over a large company.

But a company cannot keep such innovation going and I do not know where this expectation that everything Apple makes should be some groundbreaking piece of technology.

They make very good pieces of consumer technology but so do a lot of other good companies too.

Apple is (not without cause) blamed as being part of the reason for the component shortage, as they are said to have reserved capacities further in advance (up to two years) than usual, when other more cautious companies cut back on their orders due to Covid market uncertainties.
They may not be completely shielded from supply issues of course.

So for Tuesday the ipad pros are a given
And along side there can be the most important product from this event -24” imac there are a lot of leaks for this , 21.” Is almost removed, macos beta 11.3 shows some imacs in xcode crash logs
