Meanwhile, my ancient mid range Android phone has a tiny perfectly centered little punch hole camera in the screen and that’s it. And it also takes better pics, (especially at night) than an expensive iPhone 13 Pro mega max whatever.

What is the point of buying an iPhone anymore when there’s nothing innovative about it, and the company is years behind the competition, and has no interest in anything but making money?

And why are you here?

And why are you here?
Because I’m a fan of technology, and I own about a dozen Apple devices. I want Apple to do better, I want them to constantly push the envelope and stay on top. And they aren’t. I don’t see any drive, it seems they are content to just rest on past success and let even new startups make better hardware, at drastically cheaper prices. Yes iOS is refined, smooth, reliable, etc. But, year after year I see new iPhones coming out that fall further and further behind. There’s nothing exciting, new, or innovative, it’s just these boring, snail paced improvements like chipping away at the notch over 5 years only to still have this giant pill shaped thing. And for this we get to pay well over 1,000 dollars for this phone, and I don’t want to name names again, but wow are they outclassed by just about everything else that’s also much much cheaper. That’s what I don’t understand, for the price Apple is charging they should be pushing out the latest tech and their phones should be the best in every category. Period. Why can I take pictures at night with a 600 dollar Samsung phone that’s over 2 years old that almost look as good as the shots taken by my full frame Sony SLR? In some cases I think it does better, yes it has its flaws and it’s not so simple to use but when you get everything right it’s downright impressive. Considering the cost it’s pretty amazing actually.

I really like some of the things they did with iOS 16, but, while some of the new stuff is nice, have you seen what Google has done with things like their phone app? Remember it’s still a phone at heart? When was the last time Apple improved the phone app? We’ve got what a dialer and a contacts tab, 2008 called!

I can probably go on but I’d rather wait a few hours and see what we’re really dealing with rather than rumors.
