Gurman: Redesigned MacBook Pros to Launch Between September and November

The A15 will definitely have faster singe core than the M1X because the M1 series is based on the A14.
The M1 and M1X will have faster multicore than the A15.
Graphics in the A15 may be close to M1, have to see how that plays out. The M1X graphics will be better than the A15.
These ideas are based on the history of Apple's regular and X series iPad chipsets, which is a similar process to what they appear to be doing with the Mac.
Glad MR published this report. We all need a bit of reassurance after being “scarred” when they didn’t launch at WWDC. 
An October event sounds most likely unless Apple uses Steve’s “One more thing” to unveil them at the iPhone event.
Although this would be unusual, I actually think it would be huge to announce them at the same time and would draw a lot of attention to the new machines for a largely iPhone-centric audience.

I had to sell that machine. Had the same, was amazing but it slowed down like crazyyyy in the past year!
A reliable leaker also said that the new Apple Silicon Mac Pro will be released anywhere between now and the end of time 😜

Mine has slowed down so bad and it’s mad annoying. It’s so bad I only use it for safari. Cannot wait for new M1 MacBook 16” to be released. I’ll be the first one to order it. Also, I love how it’s going to be freshly new re-designed. Perfect timing I guess!
16” M1 seems like the sweet spot! I have a maxed out M1 MacBook Air which is amazing, but I want that extra screen size…soon hopefully

Also, I wish Apple releases the new 💻 in matte black.
Sources based on M1 Macs, meaning the Mx will be faster, based on iMac 24” reports and Mac mini testing when M1 came out a year ago.

The M1 is wonderful. I run a recording studio with a Mac Pro and it doesn’t replace THAT (yet) but as a personal laptop the M1 is super fast and I notice huge improvements with it.
I do hope that they’ll make these new chips available with more RAM though. 16gb is borderline for me. I’m used to 64gb on my computers usually.
Edit: The M1 chip is probably the most exciting thing I’ve seen from Apple in a looooooong time. It’s beyond impressive.

I Strongly believe MacBook Air will be released in Spring of 2022 with new colors.
One of the cooler things I read about the m1 and big sur was how apple dedicates the efficiency cores to the background tasks leaving the performance cores wide open for requests. I'm sure that makes a bigger difference than we realize.
Honestly, I hope they still push to for some kind of innovation with that space on the keyboard. It seems to me there could be some subset set of function keys, without simply reverting back to the industry standard? Dunno... I'm not super invested either way, but I do like the Touch Bar for volume/brightness (and the occasional software-specific continuous "slider" function)... So maybe a small touch screen, above the right hand, with 5 or 6 function keys above the left (to the esc key)?
i am still using the first retina MBP from 2012 because I hate the new Dell laptop my job gave me lol the MBP still works fine 🤷🏼♂️ Even with BigSur „hacked“ onto it

Thought Apple would seize the opportunity when schools kick off this fall. Macbook Air 14" had probably sold ridiculously good to students.
I feel the Space Gray and Silver only days are numbered, colors will be back to most Apple product lines like the past again. Definitely a welcomed change!

The only thing I want for Christmas is the ability to mark all my Apple Watch texts as trash and delete them with one touch. You would think since we are on Apple Watch 6 it would be a given command? I can’t be the only one out there?
