Fall starts 9/22 and ends 12/21 to many, and 9/1 to 11/31 to others. Depending on if you go by Astronomical or Meteorological. I propose we do away with both of those and have the official Apple Seasons Standard- ASS.
wonder how PR is going to reintroduce the F keys
Oh yeah, for sure, I'm pretty sure that's just an Apple thing (e.g., the old Apple extended keyboard I use at home is the same). I just think it would be cool if they didn't 100% back-pedal into the past, but still managed to keep something useful or innovative from the Touch Bar experiment (even if significantly revised). I don't think it was entirely useless, I just think they went too far in assuming they could dispense with function keys entirely. For the MB Air, the function keys do not default to Fn functionality. Those keys default to “media” keys like volume, screen brightness, play/pause, skip, and a few others. You have to press the Fn key to switch to the old school F1-12 mode.
You know this can also mean inclusive of September and November, right? He knows “between September and November” has a name, right?
I think the new iPhones will launch between August and October

I feel the Space Gray and Silver only days are numbered, colors will be back to most Apple product lines like the past again. Definitely a welcomed change!
They’ll do something so it doesn’t look like the touch bar was a failure. But how do they spin bringing back SD card?Ideally, they would find a way to add a marginal feature that is otherwise exclusive to Macs, to work their way out of a problem they created by removing them to begin with, so that they don't have to admit they backtracked.
ie. magsafe to phones instead of using more common solutions.
"The Function key has been virtually unchanged since its introduction in 1965. Apple revolutionized the function row with the introduction of the Touch Bar. Now, we will take another step no other visionary could by introducing travel and tactile feedback to [X innovation], providing dynamism to discrete system inputs, leaping beyond those boring F keys while providing 3X the user experience of the Touch Bar."
I’m with you on the white frame. Not a fan.Options is always good .....
...... but white frame around the screen - no, thanks.
White keyboard - no, thanks.
Should the Macbook Pro also get different colors combinations with a white frame around the screen and a white keyboard?
Bahhh I say Bahhh 🐑And yes... and we still read it again and again like all the good sheeps.
Me too. Currently running 2017 15” it’s massively slow now
I had to sell that machine. Had the same, was amazing but it slowed down like crazyyyy in the past year!
Are the both of you serious, I have a 2012 Mac Mini, although not the fastest it still amazes me how little has changed in almost a decade, that's for Intel procs, M CPUs do seem to be substantially better.Mine has slowed down so bad and it’s mad annoying. It’s so bad I only use it for safari. Cannot wait for new M1 MacBook 16” to be released. I’ll be the first one to order it. Also, I love how it’s going to be freshly new re-designed. Perfect timing I guess!
Exactly/Agreed, I have both a 2012 Mac Mini and MBP 13", both work fine.i am still using the first retina MBP from 2012 because I hate the new Dell laptop my job gave me lol the MBP still works fine 🤷🏼♂️ Even with BigSur „hacked“ onto it
You can change the default key behaviour in the system preferences. For the MB Air, the function keys do not default to Fn functionality. Those keys default to “media” keys like volume, screen brightness, play/pause, skip, and a few others. You have to press the Fn key to switch to the old school F1-12 mode.
For sureeee!! I never experienced such slow downs as I did with my 2017 15” MBP. Was great but literally downhill on its last year. Never happened to any other Mac I’ve owned and I’ve had tons. M1 is the future. It’s a big deal. Are the both of you serious, I have a 2012 Mac Mini, although not the fastest it still amazes me how little has changed in almost a decade, that's for Intel procs, M CPUs do seem to be substantially better.
I feel the same way, but also wonder - is it Gurman's fault or is it ours for eagerly slurping up every single scrap of these repetitive self evident predictions.
The only thing I want for Christmas is the ability to mark all my Apple Watch texts as trash and delete them with one touch. You would think since we are on Apple Watch 6 it would be a given command? I can’t be the only one out there?
