Half of iPhone 6 Orders Expected to Go to Pegatron

Anybody else with an iPad Mini just not that interested in iPhone news anymore? The iPhone seems so secondary to the iPad, especially for someone like me who often has both on me.

Maybe I do need a friggin phablet. :eek:

What the hell is happening to me?

My rMini can actually fit into some of my pants pockets, although barely and I can't really sit down. 5.7" shouldn't be a problem, especially if Apple narrows the bezel. Would Apple call the iPhone 4.7" the iPhone Mini and the iPhone 5.7" the iPhone Air? Now that would be confusing, but Apple is weird about names. And keep around the iPhone 5SC which is actually smaller than the new iPhone Mini…oh my head hurts. I feel like they need to keep a smaller iPhone around for girls. My wife could barely handle the switch from iPhone 4 to iPhone 5. No way she could go for a 4.7" device. Pants pockets are just too small. Though I saw a girl the other day at the checkout pull a giant Galaxy Note from her purse, so who knows. Maybe they will sell Apple branded clutches or purses, lol. :D
 
I dont usually make blanket statements, but there is no way there will be a curved iphone this year, and i cant see it happening in the near future either.

As for size, i think there is almost no chance of a galaxy s4 sized iphone. I think there could be a small size bump, but so soon after making the elongated iphone 5, i dont know if it would happen this year. But those big ones people are saying - i just cant see it happen. Happy to be proved wrong though.

To be honest it doesnt matter what iPhone comes out. We will all love it, upgrade and praise Apple for creating it. Who would have ever seen the BLOW BACK Apple did with the 64 bit processor? The wow factor is still there!
 
If they don't reduce the size of the bezel I will lose my mind. I don't care if my phone is a millimetre thinner, if anything the iPhone 5 is too thin. Since I don't use a case especially. But if they would just cut the top bezel by a lot it would be so much better.

Exactly. Call it the "poor man's Mac Pro" and have it the same cylinder style as the new Mac Pro but only two to three inches tall. My crystal ball says that launches in the fall.

Agreed.
Everyone freaked when they stretched the size for the 5. But now people who say the 4s screen size is better just come off as stubborn.
Whatever they do, it will eventually be accepted as a new standard.

I think more realistic would be 4.5-inch, flat LCD with a body reminiscent of the latest iPads. Bezel could be super skinny, to minimize the size increase in hand.

Bad news on release date

The article seems to suggest, since they are just starting to build a factory, that we won't see a release in spring 2014, but late fall 2014.

I think the worry here is whether or not there will be a choice in the Apple ecosystem. If Apple makes a 4.7" iPhone 6 are they still going to make a 4" iPhone 6? Or are those of us who appreciate a compact device going to be shoved off to last year's hardware?
 
I just hope apple focuses on making the phone a better phone. Better volume options… better speakers… etc… Although the 5 is pretty good, anything to help make it clearer and better to make calls would be awesome!
 
It's a matter of preference but I for one find the HTC One too big - make no mistake, I think it is currently the best looking Android phone, and it was actually the very first "non-iPhone" that I considered buying. But it's simply unconfortable to operate with one hand. One can get used to it, sort of, but it doesn't change the fact. However it's ok with me if the display of the iPhone gets a little bigger, but please, no larger than 4,2-4,3"... :(

That would look quite cool! Not to mention that I don't think they can keep the current angular form factor (introduced with the iPhone 4) if they make the phone any thinner. I don't know about other's experiences but to me even the iPhone 5 is pretty hard to pick up from a flat surface (like a table) because of its thinness. Making the phone any thinner –*without switching to a curved design – would make it feel like you're holding a credit card in your hand. :D

Actually, many women around me don't mind using phones as big as the Galaxy note. As you pointed out, unlike men, women have the advantage of being able to stow away a large phone in their purses/bags. Its much less of a problem for them than it is to men who have to put huge phones in their pockets.
 
Am I the only one who finds this whole 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, 6.0--whatever-- inch screen thing to be kind of ridiculous? I mean, it's just so counterintuitive to Apple's culture. The 4.5" option maybe... After all, here we stand at an even 4.0, which really shocked folks. I dunno. Just curious what's on others' minds regarding this. :confused:

The iPhone 6 WILL happen in September 2014, a month before the new iPad is revealed, so that both devices will sell like hotcakes during the holidays and beyond.

Why would Apple NOT update their best selling, most anticipated product ever?

AND... Phablets are selling like hotcakes there.. coincident? I think not! I think it's a conspiracy from fashion industry so that men can start carrying murses, to carry their pahblets.

I'm excited about any iPhone update this year, because I've been waiting until this year with my iPhone 4. I have to assume my phone will lose iOS support for iOS 8, so it's perfect timing to upgrade this year. For a bigger phone, I want to try it in my hand, but I like the idea of bigger screens because I've been stuck with 3.5" for 4 years.
 
I assume that Samsung and/or Sharp (where samsung has a stake) would be the main go to partners for display sollutions for the ip6?
