I agree that Halide should do a better job at showing prices up front. I'm surprised that Apple's App Store doesn't require that.it’s maddening to go to the App Store and try and find that information in the halide listing. Upfront they point out it’s not a free app and that there will be subscriptions but I’ll be damned if it was easy – I’m tempted to say even possible — to find what the prices are. I can’t imagine any other product I buy anywhere, any time where pricing is harder to find. It’s ridiculous. They should be specified clearly at the top of the product listing. Otherwise are we to suspect that the product features are as hard to find as the prices?
After another app update it is there. But results are not that great, disappointed.Press the AF (Auto Focus) button and it should appear. It did on mine.
The 1st photo is like a proper macro photo.Hm, not sure it works on my 13 mini.
This is what i get on halide and the 2nd pic is 3x digital zoom with the standard app.
Yet you felt the need to showcase it as a how well the macro mode is.
Ah, no, actually. It’s a typo. I know that slug. Not trying to be rude but is this even a macro photo?
Hope you get flimmed, first. Always awkward getting a flam without a flim .Gonna get flammed for this, but given that the outright app purchase only saves money after four and a bit years… that’s a bit steep. Fully appreciate they need to eat etc. and it’s a “pro” app but come on? Maybe two years of subscription for lifetime membership?
Good point! I mean, everyone knows there’s only ONE way to find information about Apps, and that’s the App Store. If only there was some INTERnationally-connected NETwork with millions and millions of people connected to it where one could use some form of Searching Engine to type in the name of an app and come up with “hits” providing way more information and even image samples, than you find on the App StoreI believe a "Critics Corner" (with comments posted by other App Devs in the same category) is in order for the App Store, to keep things "in check".
I'm so tired of joke developers making fools of users for simple functionality such as subscriptions for 1-hit functionality.I'm so tired of developers trying to make money.
The subscription and prices are not for this little feature.I'm so tired of joke developers making fools of users for simple functionality such as subscriptions for 1-hit functionality.
is there a storage sync?
how long will support continue for?
will a new subscription be needed when app is updated upon new iPhone releases, where restoring of the previous purchase subcription not be compatible?
Lots of unknown for a subscription:
$17.99 monthly for unlimited access?! seriously?
$1.49 monthly access (what does this even give you versus the unlimited subscription) ?????!
Yearly subscription: $10.99 (again what does this give you and why is it LESS expensive than the unlimited monthly access)?
Did they even READ what they're offering for this?! Doesn't even make sense.
The subscription and prices are not for this little feature.
That prices is for the full, advanced level camera app with lots of bells and whistles. Lots of people misread that from the article.
