Yes, that and the swapping of the Scorpion for a Wraith on Hemorrhage is great. I'm most excited about Rocket Race coming back. I played that gametype the most in Halo 3, so I'm hoping it remains as fun in Reach. Thanks for that SIS...this especially makes me happy in pants

ODST Bros unite!!Sometimes I have as much fun taking screenshots as I do just playing the damn game.

I really enjoyed ODST as well. I've used the ODST helmet for a long time. I used it all through Halo 3, and was glad to see it come back in Reach. The shoulders look ace as well, so that works. You should, if you haven't already, pick up Buck for your "Firefight Voice" in the Armory. Next to Auntie Dot, he is the best one. Some great lines.Hells yes brah. ODST is my favorite game in the Halo series and I really like the ODSTs as a unit as well.

Speaking at Game Developers Conference Online 2010, creative director Joe Staten hinted that Bungie's next project could feature "a world that was always there for you." Does Bungie have a shooter MMO up its sleeve?

It would have been good to see Master Chief...
Random? What was random about the levels to you? They made plenty of sense to me with regards to the story....and press another random button or find ourselves at another random location after the last level.
The player has a re-entry pack on. You can see this in the cutscene both on the Covenant ship, and at the start of the next level when he/she pulls out their pistol from it. Also, this level, Exodus, takes place 10 days later. You've walked to New Alexandria, but you are only helping the Army there on the way to meeting back up with your team. You don't meet up with them until the end of the following level.I just fell from the sky into the mountains....now I have walked to the nearest city, where my team happens to be

The level "Long Night of Solace" takes place on August 13, 2552. When you arrive, on foot, in New Alexandria for the level "Exodus", the date is August 23, 2552. It shows you the date each level takes place during all the cutscenes. The game doesn't take place over the course of 3 days or anything. From the first level through the end, over a month passes (July 24 to August 30).Where does it say 10 days later?
That is fine. I'm not telling you what your opinion should be. I'm just saying, I found the story to be quite good, and all of the levels seemed very logical in their order and importance. The fact that you missed all the dates in all the cutscenes might explain why you found them to be "random" in their occurrence. The story was VERY far from rubbish, in my opinion.Like I said that was my opinion. The story is rubbish.
Yep, the game has some datapads in all of the various levels. Much like the Terminals in Halo 3, and the Audio Logs in ODST, these are sort of hidden. They all tell a different bit of side story, or back story. Not really required, per se, but they do give some good info if you do hunt them down. What's this about datapads? I managed to get through the game on Heroic & half on Legendary without finding even one. Don't make me go through all that again!
She sealed herself off because of the Covenant attack on Sword Base, to try and keep herself and her research safe. At least, that is what I took of it.I still don't understand why Halsey was kept in a glass cell.
Yep, both Halo 1 & 2 work just fine on the 360. They have turned off the old Xbox Live servers, so obviously you won't be able to play Halo 2 online, but the campaigns from both games will work fine.I'd love to play through the series again, starting with Reach and then Halo, etc., but I've never tried playing Halo on a 360. Does it play/look ok?
I sort of agree. I've been having a real hit-or-miss experience with the Multiplayer lately. Either the games go great, and are fun, or there is tons of quitting, and the games fall apart. I really like BTB and Invasion, and both of them could really stand to have some of the maps looked at with regards to the spawns and balance issues. The game could be quite fun, but it still needs some work to refine it a bit.I'm growing more and more disenchanted with Multi-player though...I'd rather pop in Halo 3...the game variants and maps are much more enticing...

If someone is playing the 5th game in a series, and still expects new and dramatically different gameplay or story elements, they've set themselves up for letdown from the start. Halo is, and always has been, a shooter based around the Human-Covenant war. I'm not sure how much variance you can have in there (Halo Wars notwithstanding). That would be like hoping that the new Call of Duty is something other than a military-based, wartime shooter. It just isn't going to happen. If a player is anticipating a "new" experience, I'd agree that there is room for disappointment from a story perspective.
Well, if someone really wants to know that stuff, there have been 3 or 4 books written in the Halo universe, along with Halo Wars, that fill in a lot of details about the story Pre-Installation 04. Not to mention all the Terminals in Halo 3 and the Datapads in Reach. If you want info, it is out there. And it is good.If I critique it, story wise there seems to be no revelations regarding mankind's prequel pre-Halo encounter with the Covenant.

Well, it depends on who you listen to...I might be inclined to read the books, if they are really good. I think it has potential to be an outstanding sci-fi epic.![]()
...because I find just about everything Halo-related to be pretty interesting. But hey, that is just my opinion.I actually found myself on the Halo Wiki the other day reading about the Halo universe. Then about 10 minuets in I realized how lame it was and I stopped. Dont get me wrong I love me some Halo but if its outside the game, eh...
