Android users are still on iOS sites....just saying, it says a lot more than any repeated over an over "apple is domed, Apple don't innoate, apple this and that" arguments.
Users are for the time being but A.I. talents are working for Amazon and Google. I don’t think Apple is doomed but is thinking maybe it is becoming a Zerox.

Pretty sure a big portion of those people are in fact Apple users, who have been waking up to reality. Not every thing that Apple does is good, which is obvious in the feedback that users have been giving over the recent years. Look at the dongles, mbp keyboards, imac pro, modular mac, mac mini, ios 11, notch, etc.

LoL I really don't have time for this. I'm forcing myself to have dialogue on internet with people that put the effort to make their own minds, so any sheep mantra just make me lose any interest. Sorry.

You probably never read an Apple Whitepaper and since you did not included Facebook there which is probably at the top of any current company atm makes me think that all you know on the topics come fro few "blog articles" so let me skip this one.

I'm pretty sure they are repeated over and over for a reason. Doubt people are just making up problems, and riding the bandwagon wave. I mean, there are plenty of articles and even class action lawsuits over some of these things. I seriously can't make this stuff up.

They're repeated so much because they're memes.

Dongle: if you don't like dongles, buy a hub.
MBP keyboard: mainly personal anecdotes and conjecture. Where's the real data on how it performs? MIA.
iMac Pro: having additional RAM installed by Apple isn't really a major issue.
Modular Mac: Apple is going to do it. What's the complaint? Not out yet? And?
Mac Mini: people want an updated version, have hard time explaining why vs. other products already available.
iOS 11: works fine on my 5s, another example of anecdotal issues which every OS has.
Notch: holds the Face ID hardware. No Face ID? Dumb. Run bezel across top instead of notch? Again, dumb.

A lot of people say Android is better than iOS and the other half claim iOS is better, it is time to stop this childish behaviour and grow up.

No one OS is perfect it comes down which one you prefer.

I prefer iOS and macOS as I am a software developer “hacker” and the UNIX OS and iOS easy SDK for developing is very attractive and less hassle that I find v Android and Windows NT so I at the moment favour iOS and macOS but at no point do I believe they are better, just I prefer that platform at this moment of time.

Who know in a couple of years Android may become more appealing to my needs, at the moment it is iOS as I prefer Obj-C, C/C++ and Swift but didn’t like Java so Android was out for now, but do like it’s openness being a hacker

Well this is an issue with many, as Apple removes ports, and forces users to purchase more accessories, services, and dongles to accommodate what was once there previously.

Many users have been complaining about this for MANY years, as the majority of the consumer desktops are modular. It is hard to come off as caring for the environment, when just about every Apple device is non user serviceable. This leads to more waste, as devices are tossed more so than being repaired.
Mac Mini: people want an updated version, have hard time explaining why vs. other products already available.
Just like how people like to upgrade their phone every year or so, many do the same with their computer. Except they can just upgrade parts/install more ram, etc. There are no modular macs, and without hardware updates....pretty sure you know where I am going with this....
iOS 11: works fine on my 5s, another example of anecdotal issues which every OS has.
works fine for you, but many disagree with the constant bugs each release.

This one is like beating a dead horse, with the amount of threads and comments on how it is a bad design. I'd rather not even get into this one.

Anyone else skeptical about Duplex? While it looked great being demo'd at the keynote, part me thinks it was scripted. It is definitely impressive. Google is definitely way ahead of Apple in this area. I also prefer Google Assistant over Siri. Would love to see more demos of it by regular folks in ordinary settings.

Dongles are fine, after all that what happens in a transition period, just as PC users had to transition from parallel/serial to USB they were dongles to make that transition, it is known as progress and one day all devices will have the type-c connection.

The notch is not avoidable and most all other companies are accepting the reality and following Apple on this, one day they may get the camer and ir stuff behind but today they just not quite ready to do that.

All products have they issues but as long as it is not a big issue users are generally ok with them.

The notch is not realy that big of an issue, a little inconvenient but is liveable until a way can be found to get the camera and other stuff behind the screen.

Android, iOS, macOS, Windows NT, Windows, Linux Kernal based OSs etc... have good and bad points just accept it and make the best what you have and you will be happy

Nice additions. However the interface was jittery and stuttered. Although iOS does not seem as feature rich, the smoothness especially on a X is unparalleled. Maybe this was a lower end Android?

The jitter was in the Chrome casted panel shown on the right. The experience was smooth on the phone itself, shown on the left.

The demo phone was casting the screen wirelessly. These jitters can be expected on any OS, even iOS's AirPlay, when it is mirroring the screen.

(Added the emphasis to ward off comments saying that their videos mirror without jitter. That's because the videos arent mirrored, the URL is sent to the mirror, and they are then playing independently on the mirror.)

Well this is an issue with many, as Apple removes ports, and forces users to purchase more accessories, services, and dongles to accommodate what was once there previously.

Dongles and hubs were widely available on the market long before Apple ever changed anything regarding the MBP ports, so it's pretty obvious that including a variety of ports didn't actually provide a solution for every user. Apple's choice with the 2016 MBP and forward was to provide multiple connections for the most powerful port available on the market and let the users decide what to buy in terms of port variety. I think it's a perfectly acceptable trade-off.

As for the rest...

Keyboard class action: perfect example of what I was talking about. Where's the actual data on percentage of units manufactured needing keyboard repairs? Is it out of line with industry standards for manufacturing? That info is never provided.

Soldered RAM link: ??? Not sure what this has to do with iMac Pro. The RAM is upgradeable through Apple, which again is not a major issue. More of a minor inconvenience.

Modular MAC: most Apple desktop/laptop products CAN be upgraded, but the average customer would need to take them to a shop to have it done. Products like the Mac Pro provided a greater degree of upgrades that could be done by the customer, but even then things like the CPU and motherboard were better off in the hands of a trained expert. So this argument is really more about "I don't want to pay extra for a shop to do it" than "it can't be done". But again, Apple says they are going to provide a modular system in the future, so the only real complaint is that it's not available yet.

Mac Mini: why do people want it upgraded? For what purpose? Most of what I see on this forum and others are spec lists that are so long that it would probably be cheaper to buy a refurbished laptop or iMac. And if it's for media server use, just buy the 4K ATV.

iOS 11: yes, operating systems and applications do have some bugs. And?

Notch: proof there's no real argument to be made other than "don't provide Face ID".

The portrait/landscape mode button is good.
Also like the digital well being info.
Swipe gestures... meh

I wouldn't fret there being two schools of thought at Google, however, while the night light wasn't flawless, I utilized it consistently and I enjoyed it. All different applications that change the screen shading can't overlay the nav bar, so you'll have splendid white catches on the nav bar.

Yet somehow, Google implemented gestures only after Apple decided they need them in iOS. They could have implemented gestures years ago.

Android launchers like Nova Prime have had gestures for years.
It's been available on Android, just not integrated.

The good thing about Android is that there are multiple non official roms, and even vendor roms wich implement features without the need to wait for Android updates.

Of all the things I envy about Android, this is not one of them. Even Google is trying to ensure everyone has access to the official updates vice being at the mercy of manufactures and the telcos.

I don’t really see any benefit that iOS has over andriod. The andriod ecosystem is taking off, and Apple response is “rose gold” and “privacY”

Tim should be scared, but he is so clueless he will keep flaunting apple’s dwindling loyalty.

I try to stay away from Google as much as possible. We need a "non-data-gathering" 3rd competitor in the smartphone world.
If we didn't have competitors like Google, we would all have complacent phones, with operating systems that have no innovation, and boring hardware. Have you even used Siri?! I actually wish Microsoft would still been around, and Apple removed. At least Microsoft tried to innovate.
