Do you know how long it's gonna take them to release the damn card to everybody if they keep releasing it in batches?

300 million people in America

100,000-person batch release, say, per week

That's 3,000 weeks, or 58 years

Great! Let's not overload the system!

100,000-300,000 people is likely close to the pent-up demand for this. Once they have 200,000 cards out there, new applicants won't be waiting all that long. There are only 100 million MasterCard holders in the USA today, and it would take several years for the demand for the Apple Card to be even 10% of that. Using 300 million Americans is absurd, of course, since it puts Apple Cards in the hands of pre-schoolers. I'd say infants and toddlers could afford to wait for their cards, as they are not very good for teething.

I’m concerned with getting a credit card so close to the IPhone launch through IUP. Citizens One is very finicky about credit score so I may wait until after launch to get the Apple Card.

AmEx Gold isn't free... there's a $250 annual fee. Source: I just paid mine.

Guess he means after dining and airline credits. But nope, still not free but can usually use a few amex offers to make up difference. At least you get a signup bonus.

However, if I wanted something like Apple Card and discounts on apple pay purchases, I'd go with US Bank Altitude. It's 3% for every apple pay purchase. 4.5% if you redeem them for travel. 400 annual fee but 325 is a travel credit which makes it a 75 annual fee. However, you get a nice bonus for signing up worth 750 and several free passes for wifi on airlines. But you also get all the benefits you typically think of with a credit card (unlike apple card) such as purchase protection, travel insurance, etc. To be honest, I'd be surprised if they didn't cut back on these later.

I love mine. The features are nice, daily cash is cool, I like the simplicity of it all, card is nice and hefty. Leave it to Apple to make me enjoy spending money.
Have you gotten and daily cash yet? I made a couple small purchases yesterday to test it out and haven’t gotten anything yet.

I am iOS 13 too. Does anyone have the AppleCard working with iOS 13 Beta?

Here is what the email says "
You wanted to be one of the first to get Apple Card — a new kind of credit card created by Apple, not a bank. Good news: Here’s your chance to experience Apple Card before everybody else, so you can help us get ready for the public launch. Your early access invitation is waiting, but we need your Apple ID to send it. The email address you provided does not match an Apple ID signed in to iCloud. Just complete a few simple steps so we can send your invitation."
Yep. I'm on iOS13 and have the card.

I got an invitation Monday. I’m pretty excited about the card. I do have one question. I’ve heard that the 3% daily cash reward is given for payments to the iPhone Upgrade Program. Can anyone confirm that this is actually true?

I can confirm for ya.

Yup, only a few bucks so far because I pointed my App Store and recurring iCloud purchases to the card, which nets 3%. I haven't made a ton of purchases yet, but yea after 24 hours it showed in my Daily Cash.

That’s pretty paltry, Baymowe. Look up Chase Sapphire or AMEX Platinum benefits. Heck, lookup Amex Gold, which is free.
I have a Sapphire Reserve (one of the best credit cards available) and it has a $450 annual fee. It's a great card (hence why I have it) but it only gives 1% for all scenarios besides 3% on travel/dining.

AGAIN, you use different cards for different situations. The Apple Card offering 2% cash back for ALL ApplePay services is BETTER than my Sapphire Reserve for those situations, period.

“Apple will also immediately ship out the physical card....” This is fake news.
That may have been what happened for some...but, that doesn’t mean this will be the norm. It’s definitely not what “will” happen. Not happening for many.

You failed to quote the remainder of what Dan said: "If you choose to do so <request the physical card>." Early adopters who chose to receive the card were quoted 5 - 7 days and from what I've seen, that goal has been met albeit it seems to be 'business' days.

Next: Apple Card Pro. $999 annual fee. 99.9% interest rate. Apple logo shiny instead of laser-etched. Works only on latest Apple Watch Pro and iPhone Pro.

Full disclosure, didn't apply for the Apple Card, already have cards with better rebates.

Considering the number of mass credit card thefts with associated profile info we've seen over the past couple of years, I'd personally be hesitant to provide Sachs with my checking account info to "pull" the monthly balance. But according to a post on another Apple-centric forum, Apple Card customer service will transfer you to Sachs who'll provide a snail mail address and the account number for direct mail-in. Or the electronic transfer info if your bank has a bill-paying feature.

I thought that part was obvious. My point is that Apple does not ship out the physical card immediately. Dan said that they will.
I'm not talking about the what Apple said. I never quoted Apple. You're right, though.

Except when it comes to iTunes purchases, gift cards rule. Typically I get enough to have around a 500 balance when the sales pop up. That’s 15-25% off depending on the sale and on top of using a cc.

With sapphire reserve typically you’d want to use Freedom unlimited and Ink. Freedom unlimited in your case would easily be better than apple’s 2% because you can transfer those points to your sapphire to be redeemed at a higher rate.

You can
I am in the habit of paying off my full balance each month. What is the process for setting an autopay from a checking account? Also is there a provision to make recurring charges on the AppleCard? Monthly AppleMusic or iCloud storage? Outside of the Apple ecosystem?

You can specify your bank and specify an option for auto payments as for Apple Music at this time there is not an option and as most of us pay for annual anyway when its time to renew jus use apple pay I am curious overall for Apple News and iCloud storage as by default I have funds on wallet app store an iTunes card and that's where my services money pulls from by default

Lmaooo these comments never fail. Wow. Can you please reply to my post? I’m very curious why people like you continue to say things like this in the Apple Card threads.

Seriously I am genuinely curious. Do you think people are just clueless as to what other cards are out there? Or do you think that people getting Apple Card don’t have any other credit card?

Please reply.
It's a card for fans. Just accept it. It's mediocre, it's just another card with fancy packaging. If your a fan then get it, but your missing out on real cash rewards with other cards out there.

Now... how can we repurpose or reprogram them for other uses?

I bet it wouldn’t be too hard to reverse engineer or capture the token sent...

It’s probably a good idea to let people know to destroy their packaging if they throw it out... otherwise I foresee a very profitable endeavor for certain folks (what’s to stop people from pairing others’ cards using said packaging?)

I wanted one, but I got denied, :(

Your credit score is too good... GS needs profitable debt.

I already use a Freedom Unlimited for every purchase not travel, dining, or a 5% bonus on the regular Freedom. I have all 3 Chase cards.

The Chase points are very valuable, hence why I've hoarded 600,000 of them. I am about to get a $2,200 airline ticket for 60,000 points (just $600 if converted to cash, but getting a $2,200 ticket). Amazing value.

I would use the Apple Card for smaller purchases to get the 2% on Apple Pay and 3% for Apple purchases. Are Apple Music and iCloud services eligible for the 3%? Edit: they are eligible.
