Why wouldn't you turn your iPhone around the other way? With the wallet toward your body? I still won't be getting this but just wondering.
you are asking? that would make too much sense but you will not get clicks. To me this is a waste of $60 dollars, imagine losing your official document (drivers license, State ID, etc) battle with the agencies and then waiting 4-6 weeks to get them back in this pandemic

It's like no one at Apple says "this sucks" or "this is crap" and that's how we end up with these wallets and keyboards that fail when dust gets in it or Pro products that hasn't even had a professional give any input into it.

Despite it's overuse, I can't think of any product more deserving of "this would've never happened under Steve Jobs"

Apple persisting with the flawed butterfly keyboard design trumps this many times over as something Steve Jobs would not have tolerated.

FWIW, a few users on here don’t seem to have the issue in the videos which have been posted. Whether that’s because they don’t wear skinny jeans or maybe turn the phone the other way round before putting it in their pocket, I don’t know.

I used to have a stuck on wallet on the back of my phone that worked perfectly. Just enough room for a credit card, ID, and card key for the office. But I had to stop using that when I decided wireless charging was a greater priority than a wallet attached to my phone, so went with a front pocket wallet instead. I still only carry 3 to 4 cards max, don't need nor want more. FWIW, my front pocket wallet is literally a wide rubber band, as minimalist as it gets and still able to keep cards and a few bills together.

I was hoping the magnet wallet would let me return to the phone wallet days but the more I read and see of it, that doesn't appear to be the case. I did order one and have not receive it yet, but I will try it out and will definitely return it if my experience is sub par.

True, the fact that the wallet can so easily be knocked off the phone is not a great design. I would bet that the designer at Apple who came up with the idea was picturing the use case of someone who simply wants to have their drivers license and a couple of credit or debit cards easy to carry with them when they don’t have pockets, and the wallet gets palmed in your hand, so protected from falling off. And certainly this will be one way it will get used. But it’s not going to be an everyday carry wallet.

That being said, I would LOVE to ditch my folding, thick, leather wallet for something thin, but Apple’s wallet is too thin and limiting, imho.

I ordered and picked up the wallet at the apple store using public transport.
I thought it would be a handy case for checking in/out system.
I put the public transport card in the wallet. When i arrived at my stop it wouldnot check me out.. then i realized it had a scanner protection. I missed my stop and had to travel back from the next stop.

So, for this to work i have to
- get my phone out of my pocket
- remove the wallet
- put my phone back because you need two hand for:
- slide out the card
- check out
- put card back
- get phone
- attach wallet
- put away the phone
- walk out the transport

.. NICE! .. its so wrong its funny again .. love the useless product
