Um I am worried about specs on iOS too so Astuces iOS/macos lol 🤣If you were worried about better specs, your user name would be 'Astuces MacOS'.
Normally yes since it has better specs but doesn’t means you should buy itSo, a car with more horsepower is better than a car with less?
I’m just trying to figure out who decided it was a good idea to kill the space gray option. It’s the best looking of all of the colors. It looks professional and doesn’t attract fingerprints. It looks slick. I do not understand.
At this stage, this is the best laptop in this segment, at this price
Thats inconsistent with your MBP is the best stance.Um I am worried about specs on iOS too so Astuces iOS/macos lol 🤣
Stacking tech in the M5 will change the game.I’m not sure I agree here. The M2 line up and the M3 Pro in particular weren’t exciting upgrades, but the M4 line has demonstrated notable improvement especially in CPU performance. Also, if you have the M4 Pro or MAX, you already have Thunderbolt 5.
Not the case. So while you “think”, the fact is nothing has been revolutionary, as reports have it that the M6 could be. The M2 was the biggest YoY jump, and not by much.M3 and M4 had GREAT year-over-year performance boosts – I think some of the best we've ever seen in the industry. M1 is still plenty for many people, but it is nowhere near the M4's performance at this point.
I hope but I don't think so...Stacking tech in the M5 will change the game.
Thunderbolt 5 is not standard yet, but it might be with the M5 Macs (at least one TB5 per device, but hopefully two).
Same, given rumors of Thunderbolt 6 releasing next year with 160 GBPS bidirectionally 🤤I hope but I don't think so...
Honestly I don’t care about thunderbolt or not… I mostly care about the speed of the Mac… and I don’t think m5 will be a game changer.Same, given rumors of Thunderbolt 6 releasing next year with 160 GBPS bidirectionally 🤤
It doesn't has a better battery lol... both says 18h... maybe you might get a bit more on the new one but not a lot...Just ordered the 15" 24G/1T in Midnight to replace my M1 Air as a secondary computer. Just wanted the larger screen and a better battery. I wouldn't say it's cheap, but it used to be that if you wanted to do anything but the most basic, you really had to spend a lot more for a Pro model. These days, the Airs really are fine for almost anyone except for true pro use (and even pros can use them for a lot of things). Similar to how the new M4 Mac Minis are so ridiculously good, there is little need for many folks to pay for a Studio. They might not be exciting any more, but the Airs and Minis are so solid and capable and relatively affordable, it's a good time to be a Mac user.
Maybe I should say NEWER battery, the Airs I've had degrade pretty seriously after about 3 years. I'm getting well under half the run time as when it was new (and that's not even with extreme use).It doesn't has a better battery lol... both says 18h... maybe you might get a bit more on the new one but not a lot...
If you use the Battery of your Laptop on a regulary base you should just let it changed or change it yourself.Maybe I should say NEWER battery, the Airs I've had degrade pretty seriously after about 3 years. Make sure it's a 16gb of ram model... it's very important.M3 model at $800 is a crazy good price! I mean I am using a 2015 MBP and it already speedy enough for everyday tasks, imagine the m3! I doubt any user would notice the difference between m3 and m4.
You will be able to run the OS just not run Apple intelligence.Apple ham strung customers way too long with just 8GB of ram and a 256GB SSD. However, that perhaps $25 they saved at their purchasing level over 16GB of ram and 512GB SDSD has been shown to be an insult to their customer base when nearly 8GB is needed to just download the latest MacOS let alone expand and install the OS.
Of course they announced the 16GB or RAM as base now to be able to run their non-existent AI. It also obsoleted millions of previously sold units as they will not be able to run the imaginary AI.... Boy, that is creative sales course 101 - obsolete the current product as it can not run the new OS so you all go buy the new model.
I am confused. My base M2 MBA (8/256) runs the current version of Sequoia and Apple Intelligence with zero problems. Smooth as butter. Best computer I have ever owned, with almost 3 years of trouble free operation. How exactly is it now obsolete?Apple ham strung customers way too long with just 8GB of ram and a 256GB SSD. My statement about Apple intelligence is possibly not accurate, I should have said that is may not run as optimally as it could. The OP has more to complain about that is just stating an opinion. If your machine is running good than don’t worry about it for sure. On light loads 8 gb has been shown to work just fine, if you are doing internet browsing, word docs, or similar and don’t have a ton of stuff open it’s more than enough.I am confused. Years ago, I bought a 2014 MBA with 4GB. A couple of years later, Apple increased the base RAM to 8GB. My 2014 MBA didn’t explode into a million pieces when this happened. It served me well for a few more years until I upgraded to a MBA with Retina display. RAM had nothing to do with my decision to upgrade.
