Apart from the distinction, there is no reason why Apple couldn't do the proceeds to any iPhone,

The white front is consistent with "product red" apple , so kudos apple and This is fine.

The silver ring on the Touch ID.....lazy lazy apple. If you were consistent with your design and branding of product red, this would actually be white. Using silver is just penny pinching .

Either go with the iPhone design standard and do a red ring or go with product red branding and make it white. Silver....fail .

Fail on not noticing the only other difference is that the coloured marker in the mute switch is white when on mute, instead of red. Obvious reason why...

Buying a Red 7 now doesn't mean one can't buy an 8 in September.

And not buying a mediocre device even though it's now red doesn't mean you can't skip buying another mediocre device in September. I do hope I'm wrong, though. My 6+ is starting to show it's age and if iPhone 8 is as lacklustre as 7 I'm going to have to look elsewhere.

Yes, we do. Because Apple is so slow at innovating these days, it's pretty much the only chance they have to release a video. Next appointment: Q4 2018 when they update the iMac.
