While I don't believe there is a huge demand for small phones, I think there is a strong demand. Some people find a large phone unwieldy to use and others prefer a small phone for portability purposes.

I know the 5.7" isn't as small as the iPhone 5/5S/5c/old SE was, but hopefully it will fit the bill for many of those users who has been holding out in hopes of an update to their favorite.
I may finally upgrade my iPhone 7 for the 5.7”

The 5.4" version will be an attractive option for owners of SE-1 phones, assuming the premium vs. the SE-2 is reasonable. My wife went for an SE-2 and likes it a lot, but the new model will be a more refined solution for one-handed operation.

I am waiting for the rumored blue color to be shown off in some renders. Also, hope they use a dark/black band for the blue model instead of the shiny metal band like being shown off on the white models.

Heavy means bigger battery 😊 better battery life 😁

It could be negated by the rumored 120hz display though.

I was really hoping that due to shrinking bezels the new 6.1” models would be smaller, even if just a little, than the current 6.1” iPhone 11.

Also, that shiny stainless steel band looks tacky on the flat-edged design. This might end up looking better on the non-Pro models that are rumored to be using aluminum.

I think the 4/4S was a perfect example of the notion that the heavier something is, the better quality it is. Cell phones back in the day had often been made with cheap plastics, so to have the iPhone where it felt like it was a single slab of glass and steel was really a game changer. The 5 was far lighter, or so I remember. I’ve got one with a cracked screen that one of my kids got as a hand me down (from me), that I kept just for historical reference.

I think it will be great to get back to the 4/4S form factor, one of my favorites of all the models, although I’m not sure I’ll get the largest Pro model this year, as that thing looks like it will be ginormous.
The iPhone 4 was the lightest iPhone when it launched.

The 5.4" model does not fall between the OG SE and the current SE IMO as the video proclaims. Height-wise, sure, but width-wise, it's very close to the current SE.

The square edges of the 5S etc. were awful and painful to hold, so not looking forward to this at all. I'll wait for the next version for rounded corners
