These things become more and more serious competition for the SLR and mirror-less market …
I see why you think that, but no. They’re in no way comparable. Maybe if the pro/consumer dslr/mirrorless market were stagnent, but they are not. Everyone moves forwards. iPhone photography is undoubtedly advanced, but still not in the same league. Nor will be for the foreseeable. It’s a question of sensor size more than anything.

If the Pro and Pro Max have feature-parity, I may drop down from the Max to the standard Pro this time round. I really hate they dropped and haven't re-introduced the landscape homescreen etc.
I never liked landscape on the iPhone because Apple didn't even support it across all the apps that installed with the OS. I was constantly rotating my phone to accommodate some app that was portrait only.

Has anyone tried to fit these in a backbone one? Will these work with the existing adapter clip, will they need a different one, or will they not fit at all?

That was a great feature, even if as someone else commented above about having to constantly rotate the screen back and forth between app usage / home screen.

I had the pro max for a week before going to the pro because it did seem a bit too big for everyday use with working out. I blame the grippy case I bought for it but wasn't going to risk it without a case.

This time around I may just go for the max because the extra screen real estate was hard to beat. If so, I will go with as slim as a case as possible and less grippy (not the best idea but may give it a shot.

I hated the landscape view. Fecked all the icon placement up

Still rocking a notch-free iPhone SE. Feels superior.
Do you think it will feel ‘superior’ now that it’s on its last year of iOS?

We could revisit your comment about a year from now.

Point is, you’ll likely be upgraded to a phone that has a ‘notch’ when your SE stutters and has performance issues.
