You are so desperate.

This product was designed and launched in 2009! It's not even the latest design which shows just how much you are clutching at straws!

It's 2021 and Samsung designed a NEW product this way.
But you said they were dangerous and an environmental issue, and they still sell them..
Bit of a double standard going on here......

They are dangerous.

If you actually look it up, it has only been determined recently (over the past few years) after extensive research. The advice is not to use these batteries in new product designs.

You'll also find that Apple does not sell this remote anymore.

This is just another example of Samsung foolishly rushing a cheap product to the market to be 'first' and not thinking about overall safety and best design practice in 2021.

I have a Tile attached to my keys - it has been there for 3 years.... that ONE time I could not find my keys, so I used my Phone to ..... do absolutely nothing ... the tile did not respond, it was out of battery, no warnings just dead.

im sure the 10 meters range will be of great help when locating your missing cat...

Edit: so some think this is wrong because it says it has a range of 120 meters so do the Tile - and perhaps this is WAY better than Tile
- but i have tried to find my car on the NASA parking loot with the Tile - even when i found my car (NOT via Tile).. it still showed as "not in range" .. I had to stand still for 5 minutes next to it before it found it - one can only hope the Samsung is way better.. if it is.. well sign me up

If you click on the link you initially quoted, they are available and in stock, with the battery included, from Apple.
Most car remote uses them too, even recent car remotes.
Not really the sort of thing you want in a living room right?

I agree they are dangerous, kids and animals die after swallowing them, even when discharged.

Apple sell them here in NZ and supply them to stores too.

There's speculation that Apple’s tracking device may also use a CR2032 too.

Like I said, double standard.

The technology behind find my and potentially AirTags uses secure pings to one of the hundreds of iPhones that are in a local area where something may be lost

At the moment most people are staying home. There is no mass network of iPhones out there

Why would Apple launch something now that would not work that well and could leave a negative impression of the technology. Apple is all about delivering high customer satisfaction

In Apples position I would be launching when people start to go out again post lockdowns. No doubt AirTags have been ready for ages but Covid put a hold on the value proposition

CR2032 batteries are dangerous and an environmental hazard. As usual, poor design form Samsung.
I don't know about elsewhere, but where I live (EU) batteries with mercury or cadmium have been banned since 2015, so here CR2032 are fine as far as batteries go. I am considerably more worried about the trend towards disposable hardware, such as AirPods and MacBooks.

Like I said, double standard.

There is no speculation whatsoever that Apple will use these batteries for their Tags. You are now making things up.

The speculation has only been that they will use MagSafe or wireless charging.

Your country clearly doesn't have the same high standards then when it comes to preventing dangerous batteries being sold.

Not a double standard, this Apple product you are referring to was designed in 2009 and is now shelved, replaced by a rechargeable model.

The product you are referring to was designed years before the batteries were confirmed to be dangerous after numerous studies.

ShamSung have knowingly designed and launched a shabby new product using dangerous disposable primitive battery technology.

It's a bluetooth 5.0 device with 100 meter range. You're thinking of bluetooth 1.0 thru 3.0 that have 10 meter range. Still too bad MR doesn't know how to evaluate products and verify the range.

Mine warns me of low battery.
