Without even seeing it, I'd bet $100 it has either zero, or minimal support for auto-racing. Which would be a sad huge oversight.

Guys think strategically! Apple is probably preparing to buy one of the Sports streaming networks if it is allowed! When you have as much money as Apple does you can think and move in Multiple dimensions!
I do think strategically.

But then why not launch the app -maybe complete- at the same time you buy one of those Sport streaming networks.

This app like this is inutilizable in 2024, let's be honest.

This is so barebones I can't think of a reason I'd ever even open it. Already deleted. Maybe they will build it out but it is useless for my needs.
It's awful.

If this is how iOS 18 is shaping up, I'd be worried.

The UI is awful with zero gestures for navigation and betting odds front and centre. disgusting.

Maybe if Tim didn't send everyone to work on a headset that everyone returned, this trash wouldn't be released.

It is a beautiful simple and minimalistic demo app. The version "1", considering the alternatives, should have already offered a bit more, like showing the lineup (tactic) in a match with players position and much more stats (club and player info and career history, league stats like best scorer etc.).
Love the design and looking forward to seeing it offering more...for now I uninstalled it and I will keep using the amazing FotMob app. OneFootball is great as well.

Eh...I kinda like it. In that it is simple and does what I needed to do. Are there better ones? Sure. And probably will get updated later with more leagues/teams. Don't know why though they don't make it available on the iPad and other Apple devices. Maybe that will come later as well.

This is little more than taking the sports schedule / scores features from Apple News and breaking them out into a separate app. Minus NCAA football for whatever reason.

The problem is, just as in that app, there are glaring omissions. The first (and biggest) one is lack of inclusion of AP Poll / Coaches Poll rankings in NCAA sports. That makes finding the "exciting" games a chore.

Now, unlike in the News app, they at least did add the feature here to favorite your team's conference or any other conference. However, I notice that there's no way to view conference standings without tapping on a game to bring up details first. So, you can't just tap the favorited conference and quickly see where each team stands. Instead, tapping on your favorited conference only shows the list of today's games. Or if there is no game today, you have to first click on "Upcoming". Finally, you must click on a game to see the standings. This is a strange choice. The final issue is not showing what netrwork / streaming platform the game is being aired on. The lack of these features means that the app has almost no value for college sports fans.

No roster. No team news. No NFL. No college football. No analysis. It's a team schedule app. Already deleted.

This is lame. Meanwhile, the rest of the Apple ecosystem continues to be buggy. Guess they couldn't spare developers from the Vision Pro boondoggle...

No live activities, no widgets, no Apple Watch support…

Seems like this was made by a talented 3rd grader for a contest at Apple. I don't get it.

Spot on. I quickly deleted the app once I saw NFL and CFB weren’t supported. But no live activities, widgets or AW support? I’ll re-download it once those features are added.

Seems like the app is not a finished product TBH.

2 sports currently not playing for an app that only displays scores and standings.

Makes sense to delete an app for not having an impossible thing on it.

@miamialley you can give the thumbs down all you want, doesn't change the fact what I said is accurate.

You keep jumping up and down on that soapbox. Yes, if you're looking at this as a lame schedule app, then the lack of NFL makes sense. The fact that this is all the app is should be embarrassing to Apple. Where's the team news? Where's the analysis? Those would be something interesting for off-season fans. Where's ANYTHING? I would refer you to any number of other apps such as ESPN to see what this should have been...

Looks very incomplete. I could not find some of my favorite teams. Also could not find the Champions League and Formula 1, which probably are the most popular sports on earth...

So basically like their other apps..

Just looking at the app page I felt the same thing, pretty sure there won’t be any Motorsport. That would be all I want it for, F1 etc.

The app icon is underwhelming. Overly generic.

Nearly all Apple’s icons have been hideous crimes of design in my opinion since they were changed with iOS7 and Big Sur.

I chose the White Sox and the Cardinals as my teams to follow. But they're not showing up on the listing of games being played today. I guess they don't list them because it's just Spring Training games perhaps.

Quick issue with Font Sizes.

I'm an older guy with bad eyes. Still using my iPhone Xs with the dynamic font size moved one notch bigger in the System setting.

When looking at NBA box scores, every player's name is abbreviated to the point of uselessness.

Steph Curry gets shortened to S.Cu...

Happens to every player. The solution would be to have the stats be "slideable" to allow more space for the full name. Or, they could list players with their Last Name first. Or show fewer stats.

I guess I could always get a bigger phone. haha

They really should have handled that better. I spend a lot of time trying to make sure UIs work with large dynamic type.
