This is the same color that I'm using to restore a 1970 Honda CT70. Candy Apple Red is sexy.

BUT, I'm not that interested in this because the front is black, unlike the iPhone 7 version which had a white front. I'd so much rather the front be white. White and Candy Apple looks beautiful. Black and Candy Apple just doesn't have that contrast pop.

The more I seed the RED iPhone 8, the more I don't like my X and wish I had the 8. FaceID isn't great, and overall the X hardware/UI experience is fiddly (horrible button placement and the touchscreen is almost too sensitive/fast). Oh well.
Complete opposite experience for me. No home button and gestures Is a way better and faster experience. Happy it’s gone

I viewed one in person in person at the Apple Store. Very nice. I'm in the IUP, so my 8+, bought at launch, needs to be paid off ($229). If I chose to buy the red, I will not be eligible for next launch until a full month after.

Not sure I want red that bad...

I agree. Never understood the red and black combo crowd. The 2 colours just don’t go together at all.

Honestly, props to them. I was on a thread when the iP7 (RED) released with that terrible white face and we all talked about how much nicer it would be in black. We were right and they delivered.

I'm not in love with the X so I think this is going to be my new upgrade; there's something very intriguing about this one; it's also the only other option to have a black screen.

While we're wishing for things; I'll take a army green matte finish w/ rose gold details. Thank you!

News flash: the red iPhone is actually red. Not yellow, not green. Red.

Watch for further updates on this story as it develops.

Well, that must be why there were at least three (maybe four?) articles on this on the home page. Forget technology changes, this is NEWS. ;) EDIT: no, since April 8th (five days) we've had SEVEN (7!) stories on this topic!

Dont like this shade of red. Reminds me too much of those tacky red f-boy sneakers

Think "Ferrari." ;)

The color of the iPhone isn’t as significant to some, but the actual meaning behind Product Red is and what it stands for, and What it contributes too.

Really? I would never have guessed that from all the comments about a stupid colour. People aren't buying a red phone for charitable reasons, Lol..

I've never seen grown people drool over a colored phone.

The quintessential perfect combo: This RED iPhone 8 along with a RED iPad Pro 10.5 coupled with RED (or black?) earpods.
Arriving from ColorWare on Monday:

Can’t wait.

Would be nice if I can watch these embedded YouTube videos full screen in my safari browser on my iPad. What gives?

Wait, so is it “arguably” more attractive, or “undeniably”? You don’t get to use both in one article. Please watch All the President’s Men. #journalism101

If it was that significant you could buy a second hand perfectly good phone and donate the difference to charity yourself.

This is not a valid argument at all. I could make the opposing argument Why donate or contribute to any product or charity that represents something else for the cause. The Product Red iPhone stands for something, and those who choose to actually understand the meaning behind it, support the cause for reasons as such. This specifc phone is available through a company that supports the actual cause versus a “Relying on someone to purchase a secondhand phone and donate yourself. “
