Space Grey to match my iPad and iPhone (waiting for the SG iMac) :D

Originally everybody was talking about the gold and now space gray sounds like the favorite.

I'm undecided but leaning towards gold.

I wonder if anyone has returned their new rMB based on not liking their choice of color. :)

I am very happy with silver. I love the size of the machine. My kids think it is small but I love, how light it is.

Both my original MBA (Rev A) and 2010 MBA are silver. I decided I needed something different for the 2015 rMB.

So it's still a toss-up for me between gold and space gray (both of which people are passionate about).

Honest truth, from my perspective? I think they're all great.

I think I've been converted to Space Gray! The video (below) showed all three and the gold didn't look quite as good as the Space Gray. But I haven't seen them in person, though either:

But darn it! Then I won't get my computer for an additional two weeks. Argh!!!

Having seen them all in person, SG was my favorite and what I ended up buying. If I were in a situation that they only had gold, I would be perfectly happy with it. It's a very classy looking color like on the phones.

I think the choice rests in how you are using the notebook and who you are. If I am in grade school or college or using the notebook at starbucks or home then the gold is fun and acceptable. But I am not ... Instead if I am in a business meeting and want to show someone our latest technology, i just couldn't see myself whipping out a gold notebook and firing up our app, lol.

Very happy with the SG and think it is the perfect color for my needs. It doesn't mean that the silver isn't great or that the gold is not sublime, it is that the SG is practical for how I am using the product.

Got my Space Grey 1.2 today. Very happy with the color. Very happy with the laptop in general. beautiful machine.

Space Gray for me. I have a gold iPhone 6 but gold is simply tacky on a laptop...too "look at me". Just my opinion.

I love the space gray. I always prefer darker laptops and this color is interesting because it's not too dark and at certain angles it doesn't even look gray. Love it so far.

The gold does something similar. Under some light I'd swear it was silver.

I bought gold and I am very happy with it. I am tempted to switch to a gold iphone to match my other devices.

I wonder how many people choose their rMB color to match their iPad or iPhone? I might try to be color coordinated ("the key to happiness", my wife says)

I had some doubts about the gold after seeing it in the Apple Store. However, under more normal lighting (I think that the Store lighting is very warm), it looks fantastic. In the Apple Store, the gold was a little obnoxious.

And the black and gold color combination is perfect. My iPad is Space Grey because I wanted the black bezel, and I do sometimes regret the white bezel on the 6+. I really, really hope that they end up switching the iPhone to a black/gold combination as that would look spectacular. (I'm half Chinese, the gold lust is probably genetic.)

I had the same reaction (typing this on a gold rMB). It's surprising how bad the lighting in the Apple Stores is...you would think they would do better?

That's funny to me: I ordered a gold MacBook because I liked the color, but I also chose it to contrast with my silver/white iPad Air 2 and Gray/Black iPhone 6. One of each!

Space Grey

Well I like the Space Grey, bit it seems to show fingerprints and dust more than silver Mac Laptops.

That's an interesting bit of bias against the Space Gray that I hadn't thought of before: More readily showing dust and fingerprints.

I think silver is almost the perfect color for immunity from dust (at least the dust in my house). I think that gold would also be similar. Of course the screens are all black and will collect dust and fingerprints equally well. And, thank God we don't have a touchscreen in OS X! :)
