And what exactly do you think a new smart phone should be able to do? Beam you to the moon and back?
Where is this new groundbreaking technology you think they can put in a phone?
Newsflash guys. The original iPhone brought a new type of portable device to this world. Made it popular anyway.. Everything after has been improvements. And until someone invents a radical new screen or fractionally smaller internals or time travel. You will not be wowed. Lower your explanations.
How bout for starters and over $1000, start with with updated tech, quad HD OLED, 128 GB storage minimum in your flagship at that starting price, USB-C like others are using so you can ACTUALLY use the quick charge capability out of the box, oh yeah, that would mean it doesn’t have usb 3 either. LOL OMG!! Of course I could be mistaken but not likely given apples track record of not even giving you standard spec of the last few years. Also multitasking in the phone would have been awesome.
At that point I would feel like, I'm not being taken advantage of and don't tell me apple couldn't do it. They could. But they are afraid of cannibalizing future improvements because they really don't come out with much every year except PROCESSOR (which I have no complaints about. This seems to me the ONLY thing apple is ahead of the game on. They are spanking everyone else.) And a marginal improvement in camera. There's actually alot left on the table by them which could be improved on. I am for one not happy that they have essentially released only 2 different phones in say maybe 8 or so years. The iPhone X being the third and quite disappointing.
How about letting my 5K imac take advantage of your 4k movies in the apple store or anywhere else?
Why should I have had to wait a year and a half for you to catch up and make a 4k player when the last apple TV you released didn't have it and others out at the time did. It's because they are behind the power curve. How about when the 9.7" iPad pro came out you put USB 3 in it, because the device you released 6 months before that had it. How bout gigabit ethernet in the last apple TV? NOPE!! OHHH but they have it in THIS (4K) one!! WOW what did that cost an extra dollar on their end?
If people can't see beyond this they are blind. They are not about giving value to the consumer. They are about charging an unfair amount for the tech they sell.
I don't think I expect too much for what they charge. Others seem to manage. I have no problem paying for something worth the price, and my complaint is their stuff is not worth what they want anymore, because there are too many people willing to pay what they ask because they are not being critical enough of them.
Their only saving grace is iOS and their ecosystem. Their hardware (except processors) has been outdated for a long time. Their competition is destroying them there.
