Has your Best Buy reservation come in yet?

Someone said above that Best Buys without Apple sections don't get 3G models. Is that true? Cause I reserved a 64GB 3G AT&T at a store without an Apple section.
Also still no call. I reserved March 11th, 5:05pm LOL.

I was in the same boat as everyone, stuck with a pre-order slip and no phone call, first in line first for the 32GB Black AT&T. I found the website Milo.com which searches all Best Buys within a 100 mile radius for iPad 2 stock. There were a few stores around me that had the iPad I pre-ordered but not my store (of course). I figured even though it said "in-stock" at other stores that they were just pre-orders for other people, but i called anyway. Don't know if i got lucky but the first store i called said they had it and let me put my name down to hold it for 2 hours! Also saw that a bunch of Targets around me got shipments today.

Ugh, I am not sure who to be mad at... Best Buy, Apple, or the people running around scouring stores and buying ipads to sell on ebay at a profilt, while the people who really want them are at work.
My story - reserved a 32 gb wifi at Best Buy on the 13th. Yesterday, I went to BB to ask if I could change my reservation to a 3G AT&T - having all this time to think, I realized the 3G would be a benefit. I was told "no, these are orders. we can cancel your order if you would like." gee... thanks.
So, today at the end of the day I looked on Milo and saw "my" iPad 2 at another Best Buy close to work. Called my husband and asked could you call them while I drive over? He does. Confirmed. It is there. I am 10 min away. They won't hold it. Even though I have a reservation and a gift card at another store. I get there... "oh, it was just sold!" 🙁 (Now, I see someone in that local area list the same iPad model on Craig's List for 990.00...hmm)
My husband calls our local Best Buy to ask if any are in. They tell him only for pre-orders. He tells them his wife has "an order" and wanted to check. They tell him "these are not orders. they are just gift cards." So he asks if he can change my reservation. They say "sure." Now, I am wondering if I could have had one today, afterall.

Is this really accurate though? I tried the Milo website and it tells me that 6 Best Buys around me have iPad 2's in stock but checking 2 of the 6 on Best Buy's website says they have none.
EDIT: Sorry, I misunderstood the website. When I searched for iPad 2, it showed the stores, but just said "Call Stores" next to them. For comparison, I tried just "iPad", knowing that Best Buy was showing them in-stock, and saw where Milo would have a green checkmark next to in-stock products. So my mistake for question complete accuracy ha.

I checked on my BB today they said they got some in but hadn't gone through it yet so they had no idea what models they got. They said calls would go out tonight or tomorrow informing those on the reserve list.

to all of you who have gotten your ipad i hope your enjoying it and that its been bug free, still not call for me and the best buy i reserved at says they still havent gotten a shipment another store in san jose said she'd go check if they had any which gave me a bit of hope but of course nothing, tomorrows my one day off work hope i get it tomorrow good luck to the rest of you, live long and prosper haha
Placed a reservation for my wife about 5 days ago for a 64 GB black ATT 3G, and received it today. Apparently they received a large shipment today. (Madison WI).
Interestingly, my 64 GB black ATT 3G (ordered online from Apple, 5 minutes before the official launch) has been stuck in Lantau Island for the past 4 days.

Ok, well I have a crazy story. I was waiting for my reservation in Mount Vernon, NY Best Buy for a 64GB 3G AT&T. If you look back on this thread, you will see someone mention that the stores with no Apple Store section won't get the 3G. I started flipping out. They let me reserve it, etc.
Then if you notice, someone mentions Milo.com. So I check it. Bam, green checkmark at a Best Buy around here. I call them. They say they have it. I say can you hold it for me. They say sure. I say my name is. They say oh I wasn't going to put your name, but tell me it now. So I said Mel. They said, ok when you coming. I said right now. Got there, no problem. They had mine on the counter. Asked to buy one for a friend. All sold out :-(. Apparently they filled all their reservation for 64GB 3G and they had 1 left over! That's the one I got. Woohoo!!!!!!

Then, today out of nowhere I received the call that I had been waiting for. My iPad was waiting for me.
If you reserved a iPad from BB earlier in the week and have not got the call-of-glory, take solace in the fact that at the moment a BB reservation is the fastest guarantied way to get a iPad 2. The iPad is sold out around the country, and for most people waking up at 1am to go to the Apple store and wait in line for hours that is not a very attractive option. And most of the time there is limited model selection, so after all that waiting some people won't even get the model they want.
With the BB reservation, you will get the model you want 100% of the time, and there are no long lines to wait in.
To the people that are still waiting for the call: the call will come eventually,
so until then try not to think about it. The moment that you forget that you are still waiting is the moment that the call will come. 🙂

My wife and I each reserved one on the 12th. Got calls this past Sat and Sun respectively, and picked both up this morning. Everything went okay, so thanks to BB for taking some of the chaos out of it.
Ordered a 32gb wifi unit from Apple on the 12th, hasn't shipped yet, but no rush.
Incidentally, this BB store got 3x 16gb whit wifi today that went on shelf. Was there when they unpacked and said "we don't have anymore of this one on reserve..." so they may soon have walk in stock as their reservations wane.

Picked up my ATT Black 3G up at Chicago's Lincoln Park store yesterday after placing my reservation on Saturday, Mar 12. The sales rep said they got only 10 units in Monday's shipment. I am not sure if this was their first shipment since the initial one, but there appeared to be a stack of reservation sheets behind the concierge desk.
Very true. I have 5 stores around me, and none of them have seen any since launch.

Mine has the light bleed issue, but it sounds like most of them have this to some degree. I tried watching a movie in the dark, and after I turned the brightness down to something less than torch mode, I didn't notice it. No dead/stuck pixels, dents, scratches, or anything else though, and it seems to be working fine. Once you get it, you start sweating whether there'll be any deal breaker issues that will force a return and another wait. 🙂
Still no call for me, and I'm starting to see several stores in the general vicinity show inventory (been to two, both have the stock shown online but are all reserved)

Also, I went to an apple store to play with one and found that (extremely surprising to me) I think i actually prefer the white model over the black I reserved....
Either way I just want to get my hands on one. Its the uncertainty that is so frustrating.

I got mine as well at that same store on Monday. I was VERY surprised as I made my reservation on Thursdays of last week and I was 6th line line for my model, but yet still got the call Monday. I'd be happier if my screen wasn't so yellow. 😡
Figures. I got a call today for my 16gb wifi black. I went to target to get one yesterday.

Got a call today about 16 gb wifi white being in. I cancelled my preorder there and all.
Kinda wanna take this black one back to the apple store and go get the white one but it's not worth it as I'm back at university now.

For those of you that have received the call. Did they leave a voicemail if you didn't answer the phone? I am all over NYC for work and use the subway a lot. I'm afraid I might not be able to answer.
