Congrats, hopefully mine'll update to shipped soon as well. It seems mine is about half and hour behind your so hopefully it'll ship soon and *crosses fingers* hopefully be here by Friday.

This is so exciting! :D I been following you also. This MR posting is fun and knowing were all crazy to get MBP's! Cheers mate, keeping our fingers crossed for sure! Yay! :apple:

Haha, Rancho is 15 minutes away from me. Was your order custom?

Yes, I order 2 qty 17" i7 7200rpm 500gb matte screen on April 13th at 12:30 PDT. Originally quoted 2-5 business days delivered by April 21, then it got pushed back twice. Today it showed prepped for shipping, and then shipped. When tracking was available at fedex, it said it was coming from Rancho Cordova, CA. Makes me wonder.

Posting and reading MR posts has become such a large part of my day, especially since I'm done exams, that when I finally get my MBP I don't know where the time will be spent :D

Hopefully we all get our MBPs as soon as humanly possible; good luck with your shipment man!

My MBP is now on Prepared For Shipment! Ordered on 4/20 at 12:41pm PDT. :D Doesn't look like FedEx has any info on it yet based on the reference numbers I tried (order number and "Sales Ref Number").

MBP 15.4/2.66/500GB @ 7200/HR GLOSSY

Just changed to prepared for shipment.

Any idea how long it actually takes to ship from this point?

Just got my shipment notification and tracking number. According to FedEx it will be delivered by May 3rd...at the end of Apple's estimated delivery time (Apr 27 - May 3). And in case anyone was wondering, I got the "Package received after FedEx cutoff" message (bummer).

Got my MBP yesterday

I finally received my MBP 15" yesterday. And after using it for only 3 hours i have to say I am deeply impressed.

It is my first mac after always using PCs and it is amazing how smoothly everything works. Installing, customizing, importing data and mails from windows pcs in the network, everything is easly done.

And last but not least the generally look & feel of the notebook and the OS is just awesome!

F... I received the same in tracking information ""Package received after FedEx cutoff" message". Don't those people care about sending it the right time. Believe me, they do not. They just told you a time frame and they gonna make use of the whole of it. BE PATIENT. I think that is their theme!!

I will have weekend disappointment

FYI: I found out my tracking number already, even though Apple hasn't emailed the shipping confirmation yet. For FedEx, it's the 10-digit phone number without spaces/punctuation that you provided when you ordered (thanks, Google!). :)

Apple also has about 1, 1.5 hours to get today's shipment to FedEx if they want to make today's flight. Otherwise, I guess it'll take 3 days instead of 2? *shrug*

I am trying to give myself a hope. I think that international shipment are FedEx Express and they also deliver on Saturdays, right? Will this help us in any way? I paid 2 days shipping. I am not sure if this will help me or thye did not care

Really? Because my first one came with a 12 digit tracking number that wasn't anywhere close to my phone number AND unless you know the route your computer is taking, there is more than one route (flight) that your computer can take to get to you.

I got the dreaded "Package received after FedEx cutoff" message. ETA is now on the 3rd (by 10:30am), but maybe it'll come earlier since this is there too:

There are two numbers in the FedEx tracking system: the tracking number (which is the 12 digit number you get from Apple) and the reference number (an identifier Apple assigns to your package for its reference). Apple happens to use your phone number as the reference number, which you can enter in at https://www.fedex.com/AltRefTracking?cntry_code=us to look up your package before getting the email.

As for the actual route it takes, I guess we'll find out over the next few days. :)

Why did you go from Glossy to Anti-glare? I ordered and received exactly what you ordered but shipped it back on the 21st and am now waiting fo the i7 glossy because I decided I wanted the glass screen.

Turns out I use the laptop in bright rooms way more often than I anticipated. :D Plus, I had concerns about this gen's screens being way glossier/reflective than my three year old laptop's. I checked it out in the store and it looked okay, so I should be good.

Living in SoCal yours should go thru ANC then down to Oakland. Once it lands in Anc it can be at your door the next day unless the weekend screws it up. I've been watching since day one.

Today is the day!

My new MBP arrives today by 10:30AM! Now I can finally quit hitting the refresh on the Apple/FedEx sites :)

Shipment information sent to FedEx

I ordered my 17" CTO MacBook Pro the 16th of April and the estimated delivery date is 03 - 04th May 2010. Today is the 28th of April, still not shipped.

:(

I'm wondering how long packages stay at the local facility? My estimated delivery date is tomorrow 10:30AM but just checked the tracking info and it tells me it just arrived at the local fac.! Hopefully it means I can get it by today :D

ordered CTO 15" i7 8GB 500GB HD HR Anti-glare on the 22nd at noon.

It still hasn't changed to "prepared for shipping" or anything... but apple just charged my card! So that has to be good :)

Has anyone tracked how long it takes from charging the credit card to prepare for shipping?

I am in the same boat. My tracking states delivery on 3rd.

However, I am supposed to get my 3g iPad on Friday. But for some reason, I just don't think I can use it to occupy my time when I know that my Mac is on its way. :)

It has to be soon. They don't charge your card until they are ready to ship. My MBP is already going to arrive tomorrow and they didn't charge my card until yesterday.
