The poor guys in the factory in China are probably working 20 hour days and sleeping at there stations just to ship our Macbooks within 7 days. I feel for them but I still want my Macbook now!

Well, to be honest I'm not sure :/ I originally ordered with standard shipping but when I saw that it was prepared for shipping I called and changed it to 2 day shipping. My thought was that with the anticipated 5-6 days standard shipping I would not get before the weekend.
So basically I paid $15 for 2 day shipping but I really don't think it made a difference. Maybe it allowed me to get it by 10:30 am instead of sometime this afternoon???

That's weird. I got the exact same config and it took then 3 days to have it prepared for shipping...

Children are used to going for 20 hours and sleeping where ever they fall asleep at.
In the first batch that we all ordered on the 13th I saw a guy (or girl) that ordered from Cambridge. It shipped out of ANC on the 2:30pm-5:00pm AST flight (not sure what time but they all leave between those times) and it got to Memphis in the middle of the night, then to Boston by morning then delivered that same day. Memphis seems to really have their stuff together. So as long as it gets out of ANC by 5 or so tonight (Alaska time) it should be there. If you want to find the post, it would have been written about the 20th.
Been watching since day one and HR Glossy seems to take the longest but only until the very last day of Apple's "guess". Also, once it goes into the hands of UPS for shipment from the US to Canada, you get.........well, screwed is the word.
I ordered mine on the 21st too..still nothing for me. I got the same as you but I also got the 7200rpm HDD.
I would have but I was afraid that it would hold it up more and eat more battery life than the 5400.
That's sweet. If I can get mine released and heading over here before the weekend, I should have it by Monday. The problem with FedEx Anchorage is that if you have until the xth day to receive it they'll hold it until then. They just put it aside and refuse to move it. So I'm probably stuck until the 5th any way.
This is my dilemma as well. Ordered the 7200 but am thinking it may be worth it to just go to the apple store and buy the exact model I ordered but with 5400. i cant imagine Ill notice too much difference.

Update: email from Apple says it shipped today (4/29). Looks like it will be here within the promised window of delivery.

I'm sure you'll get it on time. I ordered mine on the 20th, and it just showed "Prepared to ship" today.
Remember, ships in 5 - 7 business days. If you ordered ordered on the 20th then it's still within their shipping timeframe.
I bought mine 4/25....Still not shipped. I'm especially antsy though. I even went out and bought a Arc'Teryx bag for it cus my old PB Brenthaven bag would be too small.....Dang it apple put those stupid parts in faster. Do they really not just have a bunch of models with the adjustable parts not in them so they can just slap them in and send it off?
They sell some high end 15" in stores. Maybe they have what you want in stock...
Unfortunately I dont think the stores ever carry the 7200 rpm drives, which is the onyl reason I had to order online : /
