Keep in mind for BTOs: They ship from Shanghai and they are 12 hours ahead of my local time.

Thank you for posting that. My tracking information, times and destinations and everything including picked up after cutoff times and the dates and even the destination are the same. I also have IP shipping with FedEx and same expected delivery date (which is disappointing for me). Does anyone here knows for sure if this delivery date can be changed to be one day earlier especially that I tried to simulate if I am shipping it to myself and it gave me delivery estimate of Friday April 30. Also, do you know if this kind of shipment can deliver on Saturdays since I assume it is Express.

Lame, ordered on the 19th to ship in 5-7 days. Got an update today saying there is a "delay" and will now ship by May 5th.

This is really getting CRAZY. When you are a big company, you should prepare yourself for taking care of your customers. They should compensate you for this delay but they would not. They would use the fine print to always penalize you but not themselves. Basically, I discovered that any big company can be not that big when they want to.
Is yours shipped UPS. I'm pretty sure ours are on the same flight if so. I got a rescheduled delay notice show up in the UPS tracker

I don't even know cause I ordered through my employer so I could get a corporate discount. All I have is the PO # and my zip code to check the order status. It just says ships within 4 days now. If I wanted to make a change I would have to call in. I'm guessing once it ships I will get an email with a tracking number.

For the most part has everyone just done normal shipping? I got the 2-3 day and am not convinced it will save me any time. Did it take longer for those of you who got a custom one, to get to the shipping stage, or after it shipped?
2-3d shipping saved a day for me, I believe. MBHockey had his shipped a day before me, but ours arrived the same day. Not sure if that's worth $18, though...Unless he also had 2-3d shipping and mine just caught up to his...

unfortunately because i ordered through work, i have no idea when the laptops (we ordered 3) would arrive. the online dispatch date today on the apple store now says 3 days, so i am thinking that things are speeding up.
i ordered a mbp (same machine but glossy) for my friend today (not through work) and it's saying an ETA of 26 days!
anyone in the UK order a similar machine last week, are you able to share your ETA please?

Mine's 'In Transit' right in the UPS system. Though it's moving around strangely, it shipped to Japan it seemed then it shipped back to China? Hopefully it'll arrive by tomorrow, as I desperately need it by then. It changed from having an expected delivery date of tomorrow to not having one, though that happened with my Final Cut Studio and it arrived by the date it said before, hopefully that'll happen again.

I wish I could say that this thread has made me obsessed, but it hasn't. I'd be obsessed anyway. shaner, I thought that Apple required signature. did you "pre-sign"?

Can you please post the route yours is taking thus far? Mine left Narita Japan a few hours ago (UPS to Canada).
