Has your MBP shipped yet?

My i7 MBP was shipped monday. I got a mail from apple that said it would be here on the 14th of may or before.
But when i track my shipment on apples website it says on currently delivery status that it is going to be there on may 7th?
But that all the info there is? nothing else?
I don't quite understand how come there is no other info if it is going to be here in two days?

Where do you live?

On Fedex truck for Delivery!

Anxiously waiting for Fedex truck.

Ordered on April 21, Apple says delivery between April 29 - May 5
Received shipping notification and credit card was charged on April 30, Fedex says delivery by May 6.
Transit from China started on May 1. Missed cutoff, so it sat in China over the weekend.
Left China on May 3 and landed in Memphis on May 4
Left Memphis and transit to Oakland, CA on May 4
At Pacheco facility and on truck for delivery on May 5!

mine is in fullerton now...were do you find the number to call fedex? i would want to pick it up!

Unless you aren't going to be there for the delivery, you'll get it quicker by just receiving the delivery. It gets sorted and placed on a truck and the trucks leave. THEN if you wanted to pick it up you can go get it (if you tell them that you wanted to rather than it going on the truck). It isn't like there is an assembly line where it goes, truck, truck, front office for pickup, truck, truck....

They get the trucks out first and only then will they deal with you picking it up.

woot woot
I hope it gets here before I have to leave for work in an hour

I come from Denmark.

Unfortunately if you go back and look at your countrymen's posts on this thread, you'll find disappointment. From what I was following, I would be tracking it through the carriers and ignore what Apple says. But definitely go back through this thread because there are lots of posts from Denmark that will give you great info.

Grrrr mine has been at the local FedEx facility since 7:57am. No updates since then and it is 9:12. It better be on the truck! There is no reason why it shouldn't be.

Ordered on the 20th was quoted May 4th latest it should possibly arrive. Well it did finally ship yesterday and I have a UPS tracking number ETA Monday the 10th ooof....

17" i7 500gig 7200rpm 4gigs ram Antiglare screen.... why must Shanghai be so very far.... Export Scan 11:06pm in transit....

This thing is amazing and the high res anti gloss is great.:)

Yep! I sent back the hi-res anti glare on the 21st and just opened up the hi res glossy. Good choice and worth waiting an additional two weeks. Very glad I sent back the Anti glare. This rocks. A bit of glare or reflection but only bad on a black screen. Looking at email or a word doc doesn't matter much.

Hi!

How long did it take for your MacBook Pro to be built (time from order date to shipping date)?

My order was taken on Apr 24, 2010 at 12:14 PM GMT.
A week later, there were some weird changes to my list of orders. There were now two (instead of one) MacBook Pro 17" CTO listed and a total of over 4400 pounds :)confused::eek:). I sent the Apple Expert I talked to when ordering the MBP an email asking about what's going on and now my order has gone back to normal (one MacBook Pro 17" CTO). The two models that were listed before now say:

Cancelled by Apple
May 3, 2010
04:51 PM GMT

It is now 5th May and the order was taken on April 24. Is it normal that it still says "Not yet shipped"? After canceling the two MacBook Pros, Apple also changed the Estimated Delivery date from 18th May (which was already bloody late..) to 25 May, 2010 - 26 May, 2010 :mad:

Call Apple. But it should move to "prepared for shipment" any day now unless something got messed up.

It made it from China to Anchorage to Louisville in over 1 day! One more stop, Toronto Pearson Airport. UPS is fast compared to FedEx. My MacBook Pro CTO order is way ahead of schedule.

NOW IT HAS BEEN SITTING AND COLLECTING DUST IN KENTUCKY SINCE 9am YESTERDAY!!! WTF! AAAARGH!! LOL

Every time I hear a vehicle hit its brakes outside I run to the window to see if it is FedEx. Now I know how my dog feels when he is waiting for me to come home and probably runs to the window 50 times.

Finally left Kentucky! Hope it is heading to Toronto.

Just opened it up. YA HOO!

Glad to see that yours is probably in your hands right now.

I'm debating whether to move stuff over to my MBP from my '08 MB now or wait till I get home tonight.

I got mine too. @~9:44am. Before est. time. I'm going to start mine up at home so I can start calibrating the battery there.

Dead Pixel

So I orderd a MBP 15" hi-res anti-glare on the first day (April 13th) it got here on the 21st. I then decided that I wanted the hi-res glossy so I returned the anti-glare and ordered the glossy on the 21st. It arrived this morning about 9:30am Alaska time....

WITH A DEAD PIXEL. AAAGGGHHHHH!

So off I go to Apple.com to see what Applecare will do.
