I had no choice for the shipping options. I also ordered it some minutes after the store went up.

28-29 does seem a bit late but maybe the pilot of our plane still doesn't know that he cannot fly in Europe :)

Yeah, I was wondering that... Airspace closed currently til 1am, but it takes approx 15 hrs to fly Shanghai - London. I wonder if it would take off anyway and prepare to be redirected, or do they wait til the airspace is open before they take off?

Same thing happened to me, except mine's getting shipped to Maine. Ordered on 13 before COB. I'm pretty disappointed it took Apple 4 days to get their act together for the standard low end 13.3" Model. Now, it appears the computer is going to be sitting on the dock all weekend in Shanghai. Mine is scheduled to deliver 4/22 a day after the 4/15-4/21 window Apple promised....:mad:
 
This is getting kinda annoying. Ordered it on Tuesday, 15,i7,7200,hi-res matte, still haven't gotten a status change from not yet shipped. I'm assuming at this point mine isn't going to make this 9pm flight from china.

Could having changed my shipping info had any effect? I put my original address assuming it would come in Friday or Saturday but once I realized there was no chance, I changed my address to where I would be next week. I assumed everything is electronically tracked so there shouldn't be any effect.

Also, does apple send updates when your status changes to prepared for shipping or do I need to keep reloading my order page.
 
I was pricing out a system and noticed that the dates changed.

As soon as you customize for an i7 on the 17" or add the HR screen on the 15" you see 'Ships 5-7 business days" :mad: I don't have a computer now since I shipped back my iMac because it was yellow .

I'm in the same boat. Same model but with a glossy screen. It's Friday night in China now so it probably won't ship until Monday at the earliest.

Ordered my BTO 15" i5 yesterday from a retail store like best buy here in Copenhagen Denmark... Anyone wanna estimate when I'll get it?

Ordered on April 13th at 5:52 am PDT.. 15", i7, 8GB, 256GB SSD, anti-glare, went to "prep for shipping" yesterday around 2pm EST and is now enroute to Alaska from Shanghai via FedEx. Projected delivery on Tuesday, April 20th. Supposedly "expedited" shipping, but arriving 2 days earlier than the last day of the original window (the 22nd).

Is yours a BTO? If so, based on my experience and from what I've read in this forum, it's doubtful. Seems like shipping notifications go out in the evening, as all BTOs appear to be built in China.
 
The macrumors embedded apple spies have heard my complaining and have finally changed my status to prepared for shipment!

Now go chinese man. Load up your bicycle and pedal my laptop to the airport. You've only got 38 more minutes.

FONA? I believe they are receiving their new MacBook Pros on Tuesday, but it probably varies from store to store. You didn't ask when you preordered it? (Or did you do it online?)
 
I placed my order for a 15"/i5 2.53 GHz/ HI RES Glossy on the 13th at 8 PM from Atlanta GA. I have yet to move to the "prepared to ship" stage. Furthermore, I just called Apple and they upgraded my shipping for free ;)(but I think that they did so because they double charged me for the incase sleeve I ordered with my laptop). Anyways, the lady I spoke to was pretty certain that my MBP would not ship out until Monday and with the upgraded shipping I should not receive it until Wednesday:(.

Disappointing when you see orders placed later than yours get ready for shipment earlier. :( It seems like that the glossy hi res screens are taking longer based on many of the reports here. The anti-glare hi res screens are already in stores, so i'm not surprised that people who ordered that option are already getting shipping notifications. Hope there's not some production issue with the glossy screens holding them back.

Mine has shipped as well. Estimated Delivery date of the 19th. Hoping I get it tomorrow, but I dont think UPS does Saturday deliveries in Canada.
